Turbonator for shits and giggles does it work idk 5/20/2014 Update the turbonator works on my 2007 jeep wrangler X I did see a increase in hp and a increase on mpg not a huge difference but a 5+ mpg
5 mpg increase is pretty good for a jeep lol. Hell ill take 5 mpg increase in any car. I heard some people said they lost power and mpg when using one of these though
In my experience you will get a real performance boost if you rip that out and burn it with a map-gas torch and then get a real turbo kit like my car 👍🏿 stututututututututu
Better to cut a piece of tin that fits the intake hose and then cut and bend the inner area in the shape of non moving blades and the air will spiral and increase the airflow.
😂😂. Hay personas que piensan que poniendole in ventos Al carrosera mas rrapido la Gran Malloria de motores lla Traen la potensia anque le pogas 20 turbos no lesacas mas 😆😆😆😆
Lol yeah 5 mpg is awesome to have in my jeep but no I haven't lost any power but I don't have it in a stock in take either I put It in with a cold air intake so the increase could be from the air intake or the turbonator either way it works for me
Yep my trailblazer has 400000 mile gets 26 mpg to 30 used the turninator for 6 yrs now now no disadvantage at all 100 % + works great mine cost 18 bucks I've saved over 2000 in fuel screw the haters to scared to try it
@@rockytop4 im looking to try on my limcoln town car some guy stated he got way better mpg with this wich kind of makes sense in these big type of vehickes🤔
@@SerpentBornOfficial you just said it would chug power from the engine meaning it wouldn’t be a “free energy motor”. also in this current arrangement, it can’t power anything because it’s only using the vacuum from the intake to spin up the turbine. adapting it to power a secondary unit would be possible but, i can’t see it making much power due to the lack of a strong vacuum force. any load would be enough to slow this to a stop, making this nothing but, an obstruction. in theory what you described makes sense but realistically, it just sounds like a vacuum powered turbo which doesn’t sound as viable as other proven ways of forcing induction or powering anything. modifying the turbine to work with a pulley/gears seems like more work than it’s worth, too.
Sorry this just showed up in my recommended lol but N47 BMW engines basically have this built into the intake pipe, it's static so it doesn't spin but it's made of brittle plastic and it's 100% what you said
That's a good point but it would have to be able to get there first I has to go through the throttle body and break up in smaller pieces before that happend
I just got the frame powder coated and am about to install the engine im going to try this on I’ll get back to you if it does anything or if it doesn’t
all imma say is if this worked so well why doesnt something that cost 5$ to make not come oem in everycar lol but i would prob buy to to mess around with haha
You don't even have to be mechanically inclined to think through this one. A turbo wheel forces air into the intake and creates high pressure inside. This thing spins off the suction from the low pressure in your intake. Creates no high pressure aka no boost lol
@@jetstream454 he's saying if it actually manages to move more CFM then the actual gains will be putting it before the mass air flow sensor because engines can adjust themselves incrementally wether they need to go a little more rich or more lean. So basically put this before your MAF and it might actually make the engine give you more fuel which will give you more power as I said if it's moving more air, wether this actually moves more air or not requires much deeper testing.
I was thinking about one of these, or something like it. Instead of putting it into your intake tube, I would adapt my trucks airbox intake hole, and cram this in there. This way, if/when the fan breaks, the pieces won't get sucked into the motor. For even more protection, putting a small metal cage in between your fan and the air filter. I'm sure this sounds complicated and confusing. I'm not great at explaining things sometimes.
How about, think about whats gunna happen to your engine when that cheap 12 dollar Amazon special falls apart and your intake is wide open 😂 the results would be horrific friend.. I do not promote them, nor do they increase any horsepower or anything else. If anything it puts a draw on your engine to get that thing spinning. And when you let off the throttle your pushing air that dont need to be pushed because that thing is "spooled" if you would, but your intake is limiting the amount of air volume your engine gets anyways.. So the air goes no where but back threw where it came..
It ads horsepower. You have to place it between your airsensor and trottlebody. There it builds up pressure.I tested it. But the only thing is how long will it work without falling apart. If it falls apart it will suck it in into the trottlebody. And into your engine.
This will absolutely not add hp, more of an air restriction than anything. You will lose hp!!!. When that thing breaks apart and gets sucked up into manifold then engine its going to be horrible.
Exelente producto, no agan caso a los comentarios negativos, yo le instale uno a mi carro y agarro tremenda potencia, con decirles que ahora mi carro vuela como el carro de Ron Wisly de Harry Potter cuando volaban por Howarth
What year civic? And just get a replacement air filter made form a better material than paper and that should help with gas mileage and restore back to stock hp but not much
Don't listen to these haters. Alot of people have never ever tried these awesome mods before. You will definetly gain a tone of power off of these. My g35 is a tire shredder. I ofc installed 3 of these turbos to my intake side and you don't even need the filter anymore after this. I had went to get it dynod (even tho you don't really need a tune because it will add hp without further mods) and it gained 300hp bro. Like wtf I was so skeptical about this and I'm so glad I went with it. I went ahead and bought more for some of my other cars. I'm also starting to believe the more of these turbos you have you gain like 100 hp from each. I ofc only needed 3 because it already makes 525hp thanks to these awesome turbos. Good luck with your awesome builds dumbfcks
