The engains on take off seemed to be really quiet and the speed looked deseptive. Not that much turbulence some flapping at wingtips. Once that stopped just lovely seeing the plane above fluffy white clouds and bright blue skies. I miss flying

Your videos are unique in that you only capture the audio sounds of air and the engine(not passenger chatter, etc.) - very soothing!

Miss those 400's here in IAH. They put in a lot of work out in Micronesia for CO.

We rarely see the 764 here at ord, but thankfully we get a lot of the other quirky plane United took on from continental, the very long 757-300.

It is amazingly quiet inside that aircraft.

cual turbulencia?

@oakenthorne1801 8 лет назад
Normal Boeing wing flex. You want the wings to do that, otherwise that energy is felt by the passengers inside. Airbus planes are sturdy and have less wing flex, that means that even though you are just as safe that during turbulence you tend to feel it more.
@adimandani8268
@adimandani8268 8 лет назад
That's not entirely correct. The A330, A350, and A380 have quite flexible wings, to name a few. Look up some videos on RU-vid. Not to mention that to counter turbulence, Airbus uses it's FBW logic to suppress vertical gusts, and to alleviate some of the energy in rougher patches of air and so on. In the end it's about the same, give or take.

The wings work like springs. If they did not flex your teeth would fall out. lol.

That is not turbulence , that is light chop.
@Traversology
@Traversology 8 лет назад
on a 767 that's a bit more than light chop...
@5iveoceanshells

Of course it is turbulence... what a stupid comment.
@travelsonic
@travelsonic 7 лет назад
You say it's not turbulence, but then try to counter by using a term used to describe the DEGREE of turbulence. How does that work?
@avgeekyvr
@avgeekyvr 7 лет назад
+Ben Dudley Sorry man, light chop is still considered turbulence, however, this was no light chop on this flight.. Pretty moderate turbulence throughout the entire flight... I should know, I was on the plane :P
@ShikataGaNai100
@ShikataGaNai100 7 лет назад
Sorry AVGEEK, I'm gonna side with Ben Dudley on this one. This old USAF type is gonna call light chop. Apparently, you've never been over the Pacific on a bad day, eh? LOL

+Warren G +Shufflebot47-Gaming is correct, this is a 767-400, newer then most, if not all the 767's in the United fleet. :) Thanks for watching!!

@okguy1282
@okguy1282 8 лет назад
Haha. I saw the title....but did not research it before commenting on the age of the aircraft Is that okay? And.... I can tell a 747 from a 767. This particular aircraft was delivered in Oct 2010. So not that old. But not a recent one either....and..no winglets installed. The quality of the audio without researching it seem like this one was an older model.....10 years or more.

turbofanlover , yes they do. But chances are 90% to fly between European States with an Airbus ....
@turbofanlover
@turbofanlover 7 лет назад
+G Calin Well, I don't have the exact statistics, but I will agree that it IS certainly more likely that one will be on an Airbus IF one is flying within Europe. :)

I'm like Lori.. I hate when the wings do that.... and I'm even more like Avgeek: I can't take my eyes off them and actually wish for more, lol :) It's this fascination I've had with airplane wings since being a child.. always wonder if they can snap off and what would happen if they did. Of course I know how improbable that would be now, after gearing up on the latest wing technology which also fascinates me... but I still like to imagine dangerous thoughts haha..
@Planemaster125
@Planemaster125 7 лет назад
Jonathan Ramkissoon I highly doubt it'll break. These wings are tested to the extreme during certification and those conditions would never happen in the real world.

'United planes aren't that sturdy' (trying not to explode right now) *_So let's just throw out all the FAA, EASA, certification, and testing, and the fact that United doesn't make the aircraft, and has very little to do with that_*
