Good fundamental lesson. With nothing more than this and my new box call, I bagged a nice Tom last spring (2013). Exciting to watch two Toms running towards me. I'm revisiting this site for a refresher this spring. Keep up the good work!
Again, successful in harvesting a spring tom 3 days into the season this year using only what I learned from Part 1. No advanced calling technique, no hard-to-perform maneuvering, just the basic yelps and clucks; and when to, and not to, use the call. Thanks again!
had turkeys respond to me in my yard while practicing this video, 3 days till my season opens here in Northern MI, hoping to bag my first bird. I really like your videos, very informative, someone get this fella on t.v.!
THANK YOU...finally a video that was clear and informative. I'm new...just got the box call [ figured I needed an idiot proof call ] and your video explained the various sounds and how to make them. No one else was doing that. Big thanks...I'll be practicing and now I know what the sound should be like.
Watching these videos is getting me really excited for Turkey season. I've been hearing a lot of birds in the woods while deer hunting and now I've got the turkey fever.
I agree, im 13 and i had no idea how to do anything with a call, my dad did insted, but thanks to you, we do it together and make them gobblers running!
Hi, im 13 and i never used a turkey call, my dad did all the work. but this year, thanks to you, i joined in, now we sound like a group and make them toms come chaseing our tails.
yeah thanks for the video i couldnt for the life of me figure out how to make the box sound just right but after i watched this video it sounded alot better
Thanks for the video, went to work on the race cars yesterday and figured i would take the Primos WetBox with me. Called in my first gobbler but unfortunately left the gun at home. He was definitely fired up and was coming quick but stopped about 50 yards away.
@kbbgood The redhead team extreme box call with a butternut wood and a purpleheart side is a really nice box call the purple heart side has a little higher pitch call and the butternut side has a lower tone call
That's great to hear.. I am so glad to know I helped some in getting you that first turkey... hope you get many more.. :) Thanks for watching! send me a pic and we will put it on the site.
Dang this guy makes this so hard Pretty sure I don’t have nearly enough time to hunt this way. It’s like don’t call. If you hear a gobble don’t call. But then call but if you call it has to be a cluck unless he’s walking towards you and then don’t call but sometimes you want to call but if you do call many times you won’t hear anything but if you don’t hear anything after calling don’t keep Calling but don’t move just stay there but if you stay there……. It’s like never ending stream of contradictions it feels like. Maybe I’m not bright enough to take in all these videos
