We usually put mother Turkey with its chicks in the brooder together such that it can continue warming them up especially at night.

Yes it should be able to lay, but for us we have also noted that when confine (keep them in door) they tend to take very long to lay and even lay few eggs. So it is always good to allow turkey esp those of laying age out of thier house to move around,eat on grass, get natural sunlight, this helps them lay faster and a good number of eggs

If well cared for 7 out of 10 poults can survive.

Turkeys can eat their eggs because of stress or nutritional deficiencies like lack of enough calcium or protein in their feeds. To reduce on stress allow your turkeys out of their coup to range sometimes.
