Delighted to see Bodrum. I spent a month there just as the pandemic was ending. It was feb -mar & less crowded & cooler. As a solo female traveller i never had a moments trouble & the people were SO Lovely. Someday i hope to return. Thanks So Much for the video.✌
Kev the place that you saw which is open for food and drinks it believe it or not a council run cafe. The price of food etc is much much cheaper than anywhere else and that is why they are always busy. Get you taxi money back but eating there. They also do beers.
Hi Kevin, very impressed shops still open after midnight, love these Live Music Bars, looks fabulous, nice to see it during day soon, keep them coming 🤩👏👏
We were in the same area 2 years ago. Stayed at 2 hotels...Istankoy and the Mandarin resort. We also got the ferry to Kos. It is easy to walk from the ferry to the town/old town. Get yourself a pork pitta gyros when you're there. Delicious. Enjoy
Great to see a place buzzing at that time of night, hate places that shut up shop at 12 and 1oclock just when you're getting your second wind lol 😁 toots granton Edinburgh 👍🏴🍺🥃
And how much was the flight (might've mentioned it in the last vid, but forgot)? Looks like a lovely place, but probably not my kinda place with there being not much to nothing to do there aside from bars and beaches (looked it up recently). Looking forward to seeing more of it at least!
Bodrum is about as Turkish now as going to Magaluf in Spain: but cleaner. It’s just like a UK resort in the sun now and has been for years. Try kas or kalkan. Very little culture going on unless you get away from Gumbet & Bodrum. Lovely town though but just not great now. Ruined by the British tourist culture over the past 20 years it’s changed so much. ✌️
Turkish resorts have that nice balance of having plenty of choice but without too many tacky parts to it and also not too built up either... I'm sure they'll ruin it in time though lol... The places I've been to in Turkey are always spotlessly clean as well.
I’ve travelled all over Türkiye. Have never been anywhere that Scottish Sterling is accepted. The banks don’t recognise it as legal currency sadly. I’ve even exchanged Scottish banknotes from a Turkish guy. He had accepted them without realising that the banks won’t accept them. Gave him English notes in exchange. Enjoy your travels. İyi yolculuklar! Glaswegian living in Fethiye.
Save your money with Kos on a day trip. There are loads of wee places near bodrum that you can jump the bus to and save the ferry money. Gümbet, Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük, Güllük.
Kos is a good trip, also the air is fresher . You will Notice Last time I was there A pint was 25p-85p Gumbet(pronounce as it’s spelled) is ok too. Smaller though. Get a dolmus.
