@@admiral20055 the LHTEC is 1530hp, the Tei-ts is between 1400 to 1600 hp, so they are in the same category performance wise., even the next batch 2 of Turkish Atak will abandon the LHTEC, and they will go for the Tei-ts even though it's sanction is only on export engines
@@admiral20055 Well Erdogan destroyed the economy. If Turkey has succeeded in armements it is because of engineer and company like Aselsan, Rocketsan, TAI …
It is not easy as you think to develop turboshaft engines for two relative poor counries like Pakistan or Turkey. You need years of expertise, experience, tests and so on for having a safe engine to use in a final real helicopter or aircraft. See for example the T129, they bought all the design from Agustawestland.. (an old design to be honest) and engines are from LTECH. They have only upgraded avionics and the cockpit. It is not like developing some toys-drones (all equipped with American or European engines), useful against 3rd world country soldiers. Try to use a Turkish drone against some modern army (Europe, Russia, USA or China) and they will fly for some minutes if they are lucky. 😁
Hopefully the U.S. will also approve a squadron of decommissioned A10 WARTHOGS TO THE PHILIPPINES. These flying machine gun plane will boost the already lethal ground troops of the Philippine soldiers.
The engine is pretty much ready, but needs to be long term tested and certified. And that can take a while. They don't want to take any risks. It would be bad if the engine failed and the pilots died, because the project was rushed.
