I'm glad even the legend Michael Waddell struggles with these thunderchickens but that is what makes it so much fun. Sometimes they get the best of you but that's why I keep going back.

Always pull for the Google's on the turkey. If you pull for the head you will miss every time. I have learned many times by missing. Keep hunting, Nice Turk's!!

Happened to me last week. 1 by its self cam in at 35 yards shooting full choke 3.5 inch and it couldn’t have been any better how he came in.

Hey brother, Love ya'lls hunts. I have had the best luck with Magnum blend heavy shot and a Mossberg 835. These combinations have been my go to. I have reached birds up to 70 yards. I was like y'all, I got tired of missing birds. These have been my go to ever since,the proof is in the pudding.

I guess you know that very few shot guns actually center the pattern on" point of aim"....hopefully you've patterned yours,,,,thats why alot of optics or sights are installed on turkey guns...just to adjust that out of the equation of " meat for the pot "

I looked on the NWTF website, the only event that I could find was the World Turkey Calling Competition in Mobile, AL. I was wondering how i could get started at the local level. I live in Oklahoma. I missed one two weeks ago at 42 yards after he hung up for about ten minutes standing still.....dusted myself off, moved 200 yards further into the woods and killed a double two hours later! Those two came in quiet and literally walked five feet behind my tree....I went from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs in an hour. Part of it. PM hunt

Just missed a stud long beard a few days ago. Setup was perfect and he was well within range, but when he didn’t commit to the decoys (which I expected) he started putting; I panicked, rushed the shot, and ended up missing twice. Nobody to blame but me. Should’ve had the gun up ahead of time and paced out my shot

About 5 years ago I shot one left handed (I am right handed) at about 50 yards. I was leaning hard to my left to get a clear shot. I was nervous and shaking. It was opening day. I shouldn't have shot. The bird dropped with no problem. Two weeks later from the same spot I had one at 25 yards. Easiest shot ever. I took my time. I was relaxed. I shot. The bird ran away. That about sums up turkey hunting.

I shoot Remington's nitro turkey 4shot made a 50yrd shot and around 65yrd shot killed 3 turkeys with 2 shots lined Two up

Shouldn’t of called with them that close. They can see exactly where it’s coming from and they don’t see a hen. I messed up a hunt a week ago doing that.

Ha Ha! Man it hurts, like a kick in the plums! I missed one on video first of season at 38 steps. Hadn’t missed one in 3 years so I had it coming... Camera kind of rushed my shot too but that’s just an excuse. I should’ve killed that bird, it was a stud too... Y’all know how hard these Alabama birds are to come by too...

It really didn’t for me. My gun doesn’t have a mount so I had to order a special frame which was elevated. So I had to raise my head to be able to see the reticle, which is inconsistent and inaccurate. So I ended up going right back to the bead
