I prefer Saudia AlFursan! However, this contract lounge had even more food options. Food and drink-wise, the contract lounge the TK uses is also pretty good!
I was going to Jakarta from Jeddah with Garuda and apparently they place Garuda at the Hajj terminal which is the terminal you can see from 14:07 which is not great at all. I thought because I was on going for Umra so it's an Umra reserved flight, but when I'm on board, there are several European tourist heading to Jakarta on the same flight, and some Saudi people as well, it means the terminal is not for a reserved flight.
Good to know, but can also be that when the airline expects the most pax to go to Umrah, they will use the Hadj/Umrah teminal. Btw: was your experience from before 2019?
@@got2flyfar It's actually just last August. Honestly I'm not sure if it's the case when they only put you in Hajj terminal when most passengers are pilgrims because in your previous video from Istanbul to Jeddah also seems like most passengers are pilgrims, the fact that they play a prayer before departure indicates that it's a pilgrimage flight, but they still put you in the main terminal which is surprised me. I was with my uncle who is working as Muthawif (kinda like a tour guide for pilgrims) and he said "we always drop our passengers in Hajj terminal, unless the flight is with Saudia, it's always at the Hajj terminal, which is disappointing for me.
@@herreach6955 But do you actually mean the terminal with the tents? Or just the old the so-called north terminal? Because also Wizzair lands at the north terminal in Jeddah.
@@got2flyfar yes, the terminal with tents, the one shown at 14:14 The funny thing is that not everyone are allowed to go there, because I the Muthawif was waiting for us outside when I just arrived because I was on separate flight from my pilgrims group, so the Muthawif picked me up at the north terminal and he was waiting at the parking lot outside the checkpoint before you enter the north terminal

We saw the last weeks several vlogs of older wide bodies. Things like broken IFE, seat problems, dirt . There is just no time to make these repairs between flights.
I think airlines keep them broken because it is also their wish to replace them with something new and offer their customers the best they can. It is a bit a question of pride. However, sometimes it does not work that well with fliers to see broken parts. On the other hand, it can also be the high utilization factor, as you say.
