You'll need
1 bunch basil
6 cups hot water (1200 ml)
5 tbsp granulated sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
8 cloves
1/4 tsp lemon salt
Here's how
Take the thoroughly washed bunch of basil and place it in a pot.
Add granulated sugar, cloves, citric acid, and cinnamon sticks.
Pour in the hot water and stir. At this stage, make sure to stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Close the lid and let the syrup sit until it cools down.
After the syrup has cooled down, strain it using a sieve and transfer it to a jar. Let it chill in the refrigerator.
Once the syrup is well chilled, your basil syrup is ready to be served. Enjoy!
