OK I'm just so impressed that you did all of that without spilling any coffee dribbling any coffee or otherwise making a mess because let me tell you I would've had coffee grounds coffee drips and probably a few drops of water all over the place :)
LOL very nice. I can't even pour a cup of coffee out of a regular pot without making a big mess LOL. You are an expert ...not a single drip. Thank you for this procedure I will differently make it this way tomorrow. TKS
Thank you for the traditional coffee preparation .. It is very important for me to drink good Turkish coffee and have foam at the top .. I am from saudia .. I love Türkiye
Does the Turkish coffee have spices in it, or is that not traditional, or more regional. A local Lebanese dinner makes it with cardamom, I found it very delicious.
Hi, first of all thank you for your comment about Turkish coffee. This is the traditional one but there are varities of Turkish coffee like with cinnamon, gum mastic also with cardamom etc. This is the popular one but try the other types.I''m sure you like it.Enjoy it:))
Sister I started drinking Turkish coffee, I bought the cezve. The colour of the cezve was very beautiful and pinkish. But after making coffee for a few days I have seen the colour changed? Is it OK? Anyway to reverse the colour? Please let me know thank you
Hi, The quality of cezve is really important.Turkish coffee makers come in several sizes, materials, and designs.Turkish coffee makers come primarily in three materials: brass, copper, and stainless steel. Especially stainless steel is it’s definitely the longest-lasting material for ibriks and is dishwasher-safe.The colour changing is related with the quality of material and the heat. Coffee pots for Turkish coffee are handmade hammered copper is good.
TravelFood4all thank you so much... yes my coffee pot is the traditional copper hammered (the way you described) And it’s no longer the pinkish colour...so it ok for this material (copper)?
@@ZaharahFitness Over time, however, they're bound to lose their luster, developing a layer of tarnish., it's easy to polish away. Avoid it from the dishwasher . One uses copper cookware low and slowly. There are some of popular options for how to clean a copper at home .
Hi Valantis, There is not much of a difference between Turkish coffee and Greek coffee. Any differences in taste is probably caused by choice of beans. Like Turkish coffee, Greek coffee is made with a fine grind of coffee. Preparation to presentation it is almost the same but there are a number of different ways to prepare it. Try it,I'm sure you like also Turkish coffee.Enjoy it :))
Turkish or Greek coffee is ground extremely fine, it's pretty much a powder, so the bulk of it sinks to the bottom and the little bit that doesn't you won't even notice.
@@Sergei_Ivanovich_Mosin Thank you for replying. I later found out that I'd pretty much would need a Turkish grinder because the average consumer grinder can't get the coffee that fine.
@@andromydous Yeah, you're honestly just better off buying pre-ground coffee with it comes to that, it needs to be an almost flour like consistency to work and it's very hard to achieve that with any normal grinder.
Yes, it simmered over the lowest heat, all done on a lower flame. Turkish coffee is non-filtered coffee type , so the grounds are in the pot as a result, as the water heats up, you are re-roasting your beans. Start with cold water and then heat your brew slowly to a foam. Enjoy it!
Hello, Coffee cups were the half size of a typical tea cup. It could hold 2-3 fl. oz. / 60-90 ml of liquid. They have a height of 2-2.5 in. / 5-6 cm. They were accompanied by saucers (“coffee stands”) which had a diameter of 4-4.5 in. / 10-12 cm.Thank you.
Hi Darryl, First thanks for your comment. Turkish coffee is different from other coffee types. Why is Turkish coffee so thick? Because the coffee is unfiltered, and never completely dissolves. When you drinking Turkish coffee, the trick is to shake gently your cup. Don’t drink the grounds - You may think you’re wasting 1/3 of your cup but the grounds are not to be drank. The water is to cleanse your pallet after your coffee.
Hi, Thank you for your comment. Arabic and Turkish coffee are very similar. Both Arabic and Turkish coffee are served black, made with finely ground coffee, with the grounds served with the coffee. The main difference is that Turkish coffee usually does not contain cardamom. Arabic coffee usually contains cardamom, or other spices.
