TURKISH DELIGHT: 777-300 ER swoops into Edinburgh airport

Hi Rab, its the beauty of plane spotting isn't it in a nutshell. Days like that when something good turns up unexpected feels extra sweet. I had that feeling briefly on Friday too when that RAF C17 was shaping our way, before dashing our hopes and driving on by. Of course you can't win them all but yesterday was a blinder, the cake iced too by the BA in BEA retro livery😍. Glad you enjoyed it😀👍 Cheers Mark

Hi Leo, unusual indeed. There seemed to be something of a consensus that this was likely, if not totally certain to have been the first visit by a Turkish Airlines 777. Saturdays outbound 321 had tech issue and didn’t depart

Hi Thommy0906, apparently all due to the previous days A321 going tech. Whether that was the need for a bigger plane to take Saturday and Sunday's passengers, or just reflecting what was available who knows. A right result for us spotters though wasn't it! Thanks for watching😀👍 Cheers Mark
