Selnsl theres lots of countrys i never thought of going as i normal backpack so saw it more as a “hotel holiday destination.. but it is high on my list now .. wasn’t a bad comment .. these guys have shown how easy its go travel around and looks beautiful
I love how Turkey’s cities have different floras because of different climates. When you are in Karadeniz, you will see hazelnuts and tea gardens. 🥜 🌱 🍵 When you are in Mediterranean cities, you will see bananas and citrus fruit trees. 🍊 🍌 🍋 When you are in the center of Turkey, you will see wheat fields, all in golden view till horizon line, it looks fabulous. 🌾 When you are in Bursa (i studied on food engineering there) and north Aegean region, you will see olive trees all over the mountains. And when you are in Thracia (Edirne, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli), you will see sunflowers 🌻 and rice fields. 🍚 My hometown is Edirne and i really love it when sunflowers are in blossom in summer. It attracts many photographers. And when rice fields are full of water in spring, they look like endless pools under the colorful sunset sky. I took great photograps in my grandmother’s village: İpsala, Edirne. I feel so lucky to be born here. This country has many things to offer us and we (citizens) should be greatful for this. I feel sad when more teenagers say “there is nothing to do in Turkey, I want to go to U.S.A. or anywhere” true that our economy is not the best and it is hard for young people to find jobs especially during this pandemic but I also think that our country is so beautiful. People are so helpful. Lands are so vertile and I am happy that I can produce and study on many vegatables and fruits as a food engineer. I am gonna write my master thesis on pumpkins this year. 🎃 I have never visited Blacksea region but I am planning to visit in this summer. Your videos helped me a lot to plan a rota. I also realized again that how beautiful our country was. Thank you very much for sharing us. I wish you healthy and safe journey and power for Trudy. 💕 As far as I saw, Trudy made a great job in these small roads. 😂
Thank you - we agree we have only seen a fraction of this beautiful country ... but hope to be sharing a lot more !! woo hoo - you will love the Black Sea coastline ... just spectacular for sure !! kind regards M
You two are doing more for tourism in Turkey than anything I’ve seen before. When this a pandemic is over I hope Turkey will get lots of tourists visiting the areas you have visited and not just those Tourist resorts where no one centres out
Those places are just stunning and the people so friendly. The underpass is something else but alas I wonder how long something like that would last in the UK. We always found the youngsters in Turkey to be so respectful. "Maybe we could learn something". Love your travels. Looking forward to the next video. Take care 💙❤️👍
Giresun it's my hometown and Bulancak is where my parents were born. And now it comes, my name is Melek as well.☺☺😄😄 You are both so full of energy and your wife is allways good informed about history and the story of local happenings. That is wonderful. Even local people couldn't tell It's so stunning as you both. You seem to be chosen to be travellers all in the world. Especially Turkey is good presented by you. Thanks at all and your kindness 💗💕💞💞💟💓
If a Turk invites you, there is no way you can pay. Hospitality has been an ingrained tradition to all Turkic people since we left the Altai mountains.
Ha Ha - we will continue to try !! we are just so delighted to have so many friends in Turkey but do not like comments that we are taking advantage of anyones friendship so we will continue to fight to pay 🤗😉😂💐
@@TREADtheglobe you will not ever get away with it. Not even in another country, Every Türk worldwide will tell you just accept it as an ingrained part of their culture. You are the guests in their Country and they the hosts always pay, for the hospitality. Best you can hope for is when and if back in England pay for a meal for A Turk who has become accustomed to the English way, but even then you will struggle, to overcome the ingrained TÜRK man pays, rest assured they will not gossip about you behind your backs after paying, you do not have to worry about that.
This is a turkish person who is trying to covertly and irrelevantly hint that we are turkic nation, not arabs and we shouldn’t be confused with arabs. Haha
@@unalsafiye I think you are projecting your preconditioned biases. The point of my statement was to make clear that hospitality has been part of our culture for a long time. The reason I very often refer to the Turkic inclusion, is that very often people think anything related is exclusively Turkish, which is wrong. You will find the same kind of tradition regarding hospitality and many other things in other Turkic countries too. I was trying to say, you will find the same hospitality in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Xinjiang.

I love those unusual street lights?... along the roadway, with the unusual shape. // I think I've been watching too long, I can SMELL the hazelnuts! love you guys!
Not only are the videos entertaining, but so many facts that we did not know, about hazelnuts, and cherries!! What lovely people that you are meeting in every adventure that you are filming too. Its lovely to see :) We were wondering about the weather, as I guess that it will start to get cooler now that we are in October? Thanks again for another interesting and fun video Chris and Marianne. Stay safe people... until next time :) David & Angela x
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes we decided to do this coastline in August / September ... as it is one of the wettest places in Turkey during the winter / spring months ... so we will head along the west and then south along those coasts for the next 2 / 3 months ... we will share as we go - kind regards to you both xx
I loved to see your video about Giresun .Giresun is the city I was born 55 years ago, but where I only lived for 5 years .Because my parents me and my brother migrated to the Netherlands in 1970. So since then living in Amsterdam as a Dutch Turk.Visit the place almost once a year for a couple of days. As a child almost every summer holiday.Your trip brings memories back of my childhood. Thanks for sharing your road trip.
I am originally from Giresun but I borned and raised in Istanbul. So unfortunately I have never visited my homeland. Don't know if it is a proper excuse though. Thank you guys for showing me there.
So good once again, it brightens my day to see more of Turkey presented by you guys. So many surprises in places that are rarely seen by us all. Keep up the good work guys, as an ex miner we say "keep your timber up" but with you guys the saying is "keep those batteries charged" the more charge the more content we can enjoy. Keep safe guys.
Hi Eric ... that is great - I love the expression ... but yes we need to keep them batteries charged LOL !! we have a solution in place and as soon as we can share it we will - thank you for your kind and considerate message - best wishes Marianne
Hello, we love you very much, welcome to our city, there are places to visit, respectively, there are plateaus at very high altitudes from the coast where you can have a great time, Mavigöl with its magnificent nature, Göksu, travertines, Kuzalan waterfall, mineral waters coming out of the ground. If you come again, do not pass without seeing that magnificent nature. We love you, good luck. 🎉🥳👍🙋♂️🇹🇷
😄🎶Здравствуйте, прекрасная семья!Спасибо БОЛЬШОЕ за интересные сюжеты, увлекательные путешествия по городам Турции. Буду ждать новые видео🤩Привет из Санкт-Петербурга🍁
I'm done watching all your Turkey vlogs, fantastic! You should really definitely have to explore the southeastern region, too amazing for description. Hasankeyf (very historical town along the Tigris River in Batman Province) --- Midyat (centuries-old Hurrian town) --- Mardin (old city for its Artuqid architecture, fascinating alleyways) --- Sanliurfa (birthplace of Abraham) --- Halfeti (village submerged in water) --- Gaziantep (visit the big mosaic museum of Zeugma) --- all the way to Hatay province.
Fantastic !! yes these places are on the list and we will be endeavouring to complete that list !! there is the whole of the Central America adventure from last year to complete now in between the Turkish episodes plus the odd live chat too !! woo hoo !! kind regards Marianne !! I do hope you are sharing the videos and channel with all your travel friends as you must have loads !! you are really an girl after my own heart !! Travel Travel and a bit more Travel !! best wishes Marianne
@@TREADtheglobe Now... am so envious of you guys. BTW, I'm not a girl, I'm a guy HA HA and oh yes, ur vlog is really worth sharing to fellow travelers, it's one of the best travel vlog I have seen so far. Take care you both.
Wow - thank you, we are delighted you are enjoying the videos - we have only been on the road for 2.5 years - but we seem to have crammed in loads LOL !! Sorry the name June fooled me ... 😳😂. See you Sunday 🌺🙌
@@TREADtheglobe Can't hardly wait for your next upload Marianne, I'm pretty sure you have loads of videos still waiting in line. I was actually waiting for Safranbolu and Amasra as I've seen in Polarsteps app that you went there. Oh, I so love Amasra - one of those places that tourists do not go. I remember staying in a pension house there near the waters. Safranbolu on the other hand gave me the vampire village vibe HA HA perhaps bcuz it was winter when I was there and those ottoman wooden mansions, a lot of them seemed to be no occupants, a bit creepy at night. HA HA
Wow that is great to hear ... we love to know you are keeping an eye on us ... we have about 3 videos left to make - but we will be doing a live chat to share all the fun we have had with Trudy and her upgrade and we have made a new logo !! woo hoo - best wishes M xx
Thank you very much that you have visited Giresun! Giresun is my hometown and because of Corona this year I could not able go there . This was very nice , thanks to you since Im virtually visiting my hometown 😊☺️😃
My hometown 😍😍😍 if you ever visit this region again in the summer during the August month please let me know!!! Theirs a lot of beautiful secret places to see in my hometown of Giresun 💚🤍
I really enjoyed this video and watched it with my morning coffee. It looks like a town I would really enjoy visiting. The filming was excellent and someone has great video photography skills! I like that you share how you find out about some of the places you visit. You mentioned trip advisor which I also use and you found that delicious looking bakery from that site. That cat station with food and beds gave me a warm feeling for that area. Looking forward to the next one.
Dear Chris and Marianne....You are wonderful ambassadors for tourism for Turkey. The tourist office of Turkey must be soooo thankful to you...as we are. Very best wishes. Tony and Carolyn... :)
Wow those desserts look amazing. Please please can you find a traditional Turkish delight place where they make it from scratch would love to see it being made 👍🏴👍
Hi guys. Another wonderful video and a superb advert for Giresun. Did you know that pasta is Turkish for cake (while makarna is the Turkish for pasta)?
Hocam Paste olarak yani Fındık Ezmesi manasında kullanılıyor. Videoda ki onlara eşlik eden benim. Pasta =Makarna onu biliyorum. 🙏
You MUST visit Sinop and eat Sinop Mantisi (a type of manti specific to Sinop) and Nokul. Also visit the historic prison (now a museum) and Hamsilos (the only fjord in Turkey) while you’re there.
you guys are amazing, I never get bored watching you! its so cool of you to never feel lazy to travel all around Turkey, including small villages and little-known towns. i hope your energy and enthusiasm will never get any less, it is such a pleasure watching you explore my country. loves from Gaziantep. (which you should definitely stop by and have some great baklava and kebab :) )
Thanks so much! 😊 It can be quite tiring and we stop every other day and work 8 - 10 hours to make the next video / film / answer comments and we love it ... but I will make sure that we keep resting as getting tired is not good for the soul !! LOL - thank you for your concern and care 🌺
Great video, once again. Now....before you miss it, you should at least watch, or even dance, the local folkdance called horon to the tune of the Hamsi, the Black Sea anchovy, jumping in the frying pan.
I have just noticed that you visited my hometown! If we bumped into each other I would help you as travel guide for sightseeing points and tasting our foods! I'm very glad to hear your good impressions about my hometown. Greetings from Bulancak/ Giresun 👋🏻
I live in the province of Rize, east of your land. I completed the university while entering. I was excited to see this up close again! If you visit rize I would like to welcome you.
Ordu, my beautiful hometown. 😊 I'm looking forward to your new video. Unfortunately I'm not there right now. I would like to meet you. Be sure to eat roasted bean pickle. Have fun Marianne and Chris 🙋🌰
you're amazing and your fantastic ending sequences are also brilliant, Thank you for sharing the places in my hometown region that I have not discovered yet.
Love, love, love! Such wonderful food, scenery, and people! ❤️ And the anticipation of the video ending is the most fun! Where are we “still at” today!? 😂😂😂 Love you guys!
Finally caught back with your adventures after being in turkey for 3 weeks. We got married in Ankara and honeymooned in my happy place Dalyan. Your keeping me going until I return. So many things I’m missing especially deserts, sütlaç and Aşure being 2 of my favs. Keep up the filming loving it!! 🧿
Hooked on you guys! Really yet another great video from you. Kadayif with crushed hazelnut!!! I am craving some Turkish food here in Florida!!. Getting jelaous of you now. I watch your facial expressions after the 1st bite of whatever you are eating. That makes me feel like I wish I was there to taste the food then. Pide looked delicious. I found a place sells some Turkish stuff here in Florida, but they are not fresh. All frozen, therefore, the taste is somewhat lost. But thank God for what I get here! No complaints!! Giresun is a city if my very dear friend who is a professor in Istanbul. We had our shares of hazelnuts because of him when we were students at Istanbul University. I love the way you really explore the regions and its local cultures that so many of us were not aware of them. Thank you intoducing this great local culture to us and always be safe. You are loved here, remember!! Next stop ORDU..woo hoo😂😂😍😍🖐️🖐️🖐️🖐️👍👍👍👍
Wow - thank you for your lovely and thoughtful message ... we try to visit places to share what we see and sometimes we find some known places and sometimes we find new experiences for us and others ... but Turkey has been great ... and there is still so much to share so buckle up !! LOL we are going to get busy ... off to Ordu for sure !! Woo Hoo LOL 😂👏💜🚐🙌🌺 Kind regards Marianne - ps sounds like a Turkish restaurant business might be the way forward !! 🤗
