I always learn something watching you. Every turner shows his skills using sharp tools but no one ever goes over the sharpening process. One of these days I am going to get them sharp enough to stop the tear outs. The lathe is still king in my shop and me I'm just a peasant, but one of these days...............
That’s pretty cool man! I’ve seen a lot of lidded boxes but this is the first rocket so congrats on a fun & unique idea. I’ll keep this one in mind for a future project, thanks for the inspiration.
I admire your sharp tools and confident movements with lathe work Dread Knot. That's the kind of confidence that comes with experience 'cuz you make it look so easy! I've done very little lathe work and the 'you don't know what you don't know' thing makes any turning I do nervous and hesitant. Keep up the good work sir! Best, Matt
