The wig clips finally got to me, so I watched a RU-vid video that showed me how to use jewelry making elastic to secure my topper in place of the clips. I love it. It’s so comfortable and doesn’t budge. The clips were just pulling on my hair too much.

I am going to try this on one of my old wigs right now. I sleep in the old wig but this is a great idea. Please let me say, you are the most natural and extremely calming person l have seen doing this demonstration. I have heaps of beautiful wigs but moved from a cold part of Australia to the top of Australia which is scorching hot and damn humid. I haven't been able to wear my wigs and don't feel very feminine as my bio is very thin receding and patchy. Not good for my mental health. I really like that since you chose to cut a lace front wig, you have those side/temple sections, which are attached and can be secured on the sides of the head, giving you more hair there and a more secure fit. The standard cap wigs, I think, have mostly the crown section that can be used as a topper but no side sections. It is great and works. Love this video, I need to try this.
This is brilliant ! I have so many wigs that I don’t use cause it’s too hot and everytime I wear them , I feel I’m overheating 🥵..but I’m definitely trying this ..I have a balayage but now I’m trying to let my natural hair color grow, since I still have really blonde ends I’m gonna use one of my blonde wigs as a topper to hide all my black roots ,that way I don’t look crazy and at the same time I don’t have to dye my roots ! 😁 thank you so much 🧡!

Thank you for your video on turning a full wig into a custom topper. I did it on one of my wigs and I love how I can wear my hair out in the back and the wig feels airy on my head. I will probably do this to all my wigs, Thanks for sharing your story😊
You did a great job! Sometimes I used the glue made for extensions to help hold my toppers on. I also sew more of the pressure clips onto the base than I think I'll need, because I need all the help I can get to hold the topper on. I love it that you are saving the rest of the wig to transform into another piece; be sure and show us what you did with it! I'm subscribed now and I read your posts on June's fb group page.
Great instruction & closeup of the cut wefts. With naturally curly/wavy hair, finding a light wavy synthetic topper is almost impossible. Turning a wig into a topper is the way to go. I haven't done this yet but I will be trying it.
You have saved my sanity! As a natural redhead I'm finding it impossible to get a topper even remotely close to my own color. SO DEPRESSING! My shiny scalp is showing terribly. I can't stand full wigs, like you I'm super heat sensitive and wigs are SO DAMN hot! Who wears a fur hat all year round? A "Nut Job" maybe, but I'm just a little crazy, not a full fledged Nut Job...YET! I'm going to find a reasonably priced mono top wig and cut it up! Yes I AM! Thanks to you Tiffany, you've given me some courage. My last concern is that I have fairly short hair, will that be an issue? It's just barely collar length, with lots of layers. The layers are to disguise how thin it is, I can fluff the devil out of it. That gives me about 18 hours to come out of hiding, able to be seen in public briefly. Again, Thanks for being a common sense, one step at a time, teacher. You have helped me.

Your videos are so well done, you explain and demonstrate everything so clearly! I just wish I were as creative as you! I would have destroyed that wig if I had tried to do that. I like how natural you are instead of a lot of the cheesy girls that get on you tube with such fake personalities.
Wow you are absolutely amazing and I appreciate your videos more than you could ever imagine I am extremely new to wearing wigs and actually I went in to the wig shop to find me a nice topper but they end up talking me into getting a wig well needless to say I am having a very hard time wearing the wig only because it is just way too hot and it doesn’t help that I’m in menopause so I am constantly hot and sweating with wearing the wig so I am definitely going to cut this week apart and try to turn it into a wig topper I pray to God that I do not screw it up the only thing I’m honestly concerned about is how do I clip in the little clips is there any possible way you could show me how that works thank you in advance and seriously you are absolutely amazing
have you talked to a doctor my hair was thinning and my doctor put me on a birth control pill that was high in hormones and now all my hair is back you are vary brave to share your videos
You did a fantastic job, wow how awesome, and inspiring. Would it be better, so we can see you better if you filmed with your phone horizontal ? You can attach your phone to an arm and clip on to any surface, so if for instance when you were cutting the rest of the band and couldn't let us see, you can move the arm that is attached to your phone, downward? Pointing to the hair, and pull back up to see you again.
