I turned an old fridge compressor into an air compressor. I used a Fire extinguisher as it's tank.

Thanks bro 🙏🌹 I worked with 8 bar , It's slowly compressed, but so fast reduced pressure, it's depends on capacity of tank, if you have a bigger tank, it's better 👍

Compressors already have oil in them, separate from the refridgerant.

I made this tool and used it for a year until the refrigerator motor stopped working. The problem was that it took a long time to fill. Many friends also said that welding on the tank is a mistake, which is true. Therefore, I do not recommend making this tool

Hi my friend The Fire extinguisher was 6 kg Powder and the refrigerator horsepower was 1/6. and I use it up to 8 bar, I think more than that is dangerous. Good luck 😉🌹

The substances in the compressor is too toxic and could be very dangerous. You should have adequate safety gears for keeping you safe

I showed this to one power tool shop vendor, he suggested its not recommended to convert fridge compressor into air compressor. fridge compressors deals with liquid gas.. this method will make the compressor to get heated. he might hate diy products.. let me know your thoughts..

You just showed it in just a vendor.. not an ref technician or mechanic.. okie? Every air compressor will be damage if it suck liquid.. thats why it called liquid gas?? Gas and Air is the same?? Or he just said it to you to make you buy there ready made product which is air compressor and it so expensive.
