The fact that both Majora's Mask and Turn The Lights Off are pieces of art meant to mourn the death of childhood makes this animatic even more perfect. This is absolutely incredible and you should be really proud of this.
@@EyeCantDraw_ The monsters at night represent a "childish fear" and they embody the fears that kids have growing up. If you look at the music video, it goes from being scared of monsters in a closet (a common childhood fear) and then monsters in the mirror (self-loathing) and then other people being the monsters (harsh reality and heartbreak!!)
IKR? I love Majora's Mask and I've heard this song before, and I was watching how well the song fit the scenes played! Like the "shine and sparkles" during the showcase of Twinmold was spot on, since light is the method to get through the dungeon was just baffling! And that's just scratching the surface.
wow!!! i never realized just how much this song fits majora's mask but you've absolutely proved how well it works! i love all the little connections to the song and references you've snuck in! i absolutely adore the part with the masked children at the end :) beautiful work :D
OMG I SAW THIS ON TUMBLR AND REBLOGGED IT ON ALL OF MY BLOGS AHDGAJAL forreal, I _adore_ this. Amazing pacing, amazing art, and the lyrics fit perfectly. Majoras Mask is my favorite game, too. Literally all perfect. Thank you ♡
This was incredibly well done! You hit every major story beat (haha get it?) perfectly, you really captured the anguish and triumph that Link experiences in the game. It really can be a bummer sometimes but seeing everyone come together and be happy at the end of the game is so worth it and you captured that so well! The art style is simple but effortlessly beautiful. I could watch this over and over. 20/10 video my friend.
I'm not much of a Zelda fan but god do I wish I played Majora's Mask when I was younger. It looks so fun and for what _could_ be counted as a spin-off game, looked amazing. Majora's boss fight and three phases in particular scream creepy. First you just fight the mask, then it grows legs, arms and a pseudo-head while it dances around you. Finally, it seems to start taking the fight seriously, growing an entire body around itself, though the head still seems to be missing its eyes as the seemingly fake eyes from the mask still stare at you, wide-open and unblinking. A lot of people like to make villains have simple color schemes usually involving darker colors, what makes Majora so eerie though is its complex color scheme bursting with life. It just doesn't seem natural at all, that's its charm. Majora is just such a bizarre villain, no one knows what it is or how it came to be, all we have is a myth about some ancient tribe worshiping then fearing it. For all we know, Majora could be some ancient god that appears every now and then throughout history whenever it's on the verge of being forgotten again Update: I looked through my old stuff and found my 3DS, found out my brother had the MM3D remake and decided to play it. It was amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. Spoilers ahead, obviously. Some of the most heartbreaking moments to me were saving Pamela's father from the Gibdo curse, seeing Anju and Kafei's wedding in the end credits through Kafei's POV and seeing Keeta salute asking Link something like "May I be relieved of duty, my captain?" and just all of the Ikana soldiers thinking the war is still ongoing. Pamela's father doesn't really need to be explained, you just have to experience it. Anju saying "We'll face the daylight together" just hurt to read, I actually thought to myself in that moment "I'm sorry, but I won't let you" as I played the Song of Time once again. Keeta and the soldiers were just so depressing in and of themselves. Their fight ended so long ago and yet they still guard their posts not knowing of the futility of it all. Keeta was tired though, all he wanted was to rest and seeing his bones fall apart after relieving him of duty gave me a strange feeling of sadness and joy, he earned it. Anju and Kafei's wedding in the credits was another gut punch to me after finishing the game, it was lovely seeing the both of them finally have their peace and since it's through Kafei's POV it's like you can feel his joy, relief and satisfaction. While I know that Majora's Mask 3D is considered inferior to the original (and I can definitely see the reasons, Twinmold in particular felt like a chore after a while) it was a pleasure to play through. The temples were great but very confusing and I wouldn't want to go through them again, lol, but it was all well worth it for the experience. Thank you, Aonuma, for creating the beautiful tragedy that is Majora's Mask. As well as you for making this video, it really does the game justice in every way, each picture aligns with the lyrics of the song perfectly.
I like this! I love how you used light and shadow to emphasize things, and i really liked the frames with Fierce Deity Link. You do expressions really well
Really capture everything from the game and the song ❤ I discovered this song 6 months ago and didn't knew why I loved it so much but now that you've bring majora's mask into play everything's clearer
I'm so disappointed that I'm just now seeing this majora's mask is my favorite zelda game and tally hall is one of my favorite bands and on top of that THIS IS INCREDIBLE the art, the summary of the whole majora's mask story just wow 100 out 100
This is amazing you did an amazing job, it also made me realize why I like majora’s mask so much I actually care about the who world and everyone in it
Imagine, Botw and Totk Link's 3rd game is coming out and in this game, when the goes to pick up the master sword, links from every universe start coming and they all help Totk Link in his adventure. Or this time, Fi comes out of the sword and says "it's time", unites the other universes and creates a new hyrule, and this time, wouldn't it be a legendary game in which we will play all the links and their own parts? If the Ganandorfs unite and become Dimese again and try to stop him 😀
WOW OMG THIS WAS SPECTACULAR I don't think words could even do it justice! A song I've loved since I was a kid and one of my favorite games ever. You did such an amazing job in making each frame tell the perfect story alongside this song! I just love this so much - amazing job, my friend!! :D I couldn't help smiling while watching : )
I never knew I needed a Pmv of one of my favorite games so badly but now that I have seen it I am now in love and I will rewatch this five times. Your art is beautiful, but I have a question. What was your favorite boss of this game?
I guess you did, what the hell! How??? What????? Huh??????? Are you a cryptid?? I am genuinely becoming very confused. I was thinking "Wow I like this cool artist who makes Deltarune art! Let's check out some of their older stuff" then I find sooooo many of the things I've seen??? All made by you??? I'm suing what the hell. Did you just like influence all of my interests, what in the world is going on? I. I'm going offline for a bit. Mainly to think about fanfics though, lol. Seriously dude, what the hell?
@@easternCriminal I've watched this video so many times and it took repeated watches to pick up on it. I love how nuanced it is--I see new things in it every time. Thanks for sharing this!
I’d never heard this song before and I haven’t played majora’s mask yet but they seem to match each other so well and I love how your art conveyed both the energy and the chilling nature of them! Amazing work
The song was just absolutely made for this game!!! It fits so well with the narrative of Majora's Mask. Also, because of this animatic I forever associate the song with MM, so thank you so much for creating this!
One of my favorite songs and one of my favorite games combined into one absolutely stunning PMV, is this heaven?! No but in all seriousness my jaw was dropped the entire time watching this and I love it so much! It’s literally a crime that this does not have 100k views or more with all the effort, details, and quirks you put into this! Keep up the phenomenal work!!
Oh. my. god. I came here from your Ace Attorney stuff and FNFGBHSFSJJKLKAJSNJ this is amazing, I rarely find majoras mask PMVs and or animatics and for it to be from some one who also likes AA ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah this is amazing I have watched this 10 times
This is an amazing pmv! I love all the art, it’s so detailed and expressive! The lighting is amazing and I love how you draw Link and all of the characters, they’re cute and keeping all the side quests of the game in the animatic is a really neat touch. And I wasn’t expecting the song to fit the game like a glove (which may have been because of your great art direction, but who knows). Can’t wait to see more of your work, and thank you for the great PMV!
Wait this is so cool!!! Majora's mask is one of my favorite games, and I love tally hall! The art is also just perfection, I'm so happy this was on my recommended
This game is my favorite nintendo game, and this pmv is also one of the best I've ever seen. The art and storytelling capture that of the game's so perfectly. Thank you for creating this wonderful piece of art.
I can’t express enough how beautiful and well done this is. No matter what I do I always seem to come back to this video and each time I’m amazed at how well done it is. It almost makes me emotional.
