I finally learnt how to play this song on the guitar! Such a beautiful song that still sounds incredible 57 years after The Byrds covered it! A masterpiece.
Maybe not. But she had a horrific childhood in which her father molested her, and she struggled with the pain of that her entire life. I know it’s just a movie, but people experience trauma every day. Don’t be too quick to judge.

I think the period between here (1967) and when she meets up again with Forrest at his house for the 2nd to last time (1976) is when she catches the virus
