Sounds great!! Thanks for taking your time to come up with these voxy, jangly patches and sharing them! You’ve got a great voice and seemed to easily belt FBG out! Really looking forward to trying out these patches!!! Cheers Scott!!!
Greetings Scott! Thank you for your work. As an OLD Beatles fan, it may help to know most of us fall into two camps: Early and later Beatles, pre and post effects. I'm an early guy. I sure wish you'd consider advising on how to setup a pre effects Vox AC30 tone studio ala Hard Days Night, or Meet the Beatles etc. I am VERY new to Tone Studio and what you shared early on in your video about how you started was meaningless to a neophite. I have no clue what you were referring to and would really appreciate some clarification. The rest of it was crystal clear and terrific! Thank you
I'm assuming you mean the sneaky amp part when you say meaningless. So the Katana software was built off of previous software that had more amps than the Katana does, but they're still available in patch form and you can use them to build your tone around. As far as a clean Beetles tone, let me play around and see what I can do. I probably won't make a whole video on it, but I'll come back to this comment later on with the results.
This is awesome! The voxman patch with a strat with a little additional overdrive and maybe a tad of chorus gives you a nice early Edge/U2 sound. Think Sunday Bloody Sunday live early/mid 80s
You must be my guitar soul mate where I am channeling your dental issues. Every time you mentioned it, I was getting work done. Once again, I need work done ASAP 😭🤬. Don't be like me, kids. Take care of you teeth when you are young! I am continually amazed that the amp can imitate so many amps without an IR pedal. Great video as always! I would love to see the mesa video. Thank you!
That middle paragraph is words to live by. I put things off for so long and should have got a lot done when I was in the military. Glad you dig the tone. It has also led me down a rabbit hole of learning classic Beatles riffs that I've otherwise never really thought about learning and they're harder than they sound.
Incredible amp I own the baby brother the mini Boss did an incredible job with that in my personal belief the Mini is one of the best small portable amps, it doesn't surprise how good it's big brothers are , eventually I will own the 50 , this is one setting I will definitely be looking at , and downloading
I have the mini as well, but I don't use it much anymore since I got the Positive Grid Spark 40 and Spark Go. The 50's are all over the used market for pretty cheap in the U.S. Not sure how it is on your side of the pond.
So i love my katana. But the built-in effects were not very good. Even with all the eq settings, i wasnt getting my tone. But my god does tbis amp take fx pedals so wellllll. The sound difference is night and day between built in fx and actual pedals
I was thinking of getting the MKII 100 and a Boss ME-80 or a newer all in one… like a GT-1 or a Helix stomp box. Do you think I could get some better effects for pop-punk sound cranked for jamming with a bassist and drummer live outside?
What is with the sneaky amps thing voiding the warranty, buddy? If you did a factory reset could they see? Also, if I dont intentionally download the sneaky amps, but unwittingly download a patch from someone that USES a sneaky amp, is THAT voiding or changing anything
I don't recall saying that, but I did hear it and I don't know how they could justify that at all. The software was built upon old software that had those settings, but no intended for the Katana. But yeah, I don't think anything within the sneaky amps could cause any kind of damage and could they prove you were using sneaky amps after you do a factory reset? I doubt it. It's not like you're hacking into the coding of your amps software and changing things. You're just loading a patch really.
I did a Twin Reverb that sounded pretty good. Also a driven Bassman. I'll check out the 57 Custom Deluxe and see if it's something I can dial in. I may be able to base it off of one of those patches.
Yes, Direct out with the Rec setting. I do all my patches that way now. But all of the amps should have that within tone studio now. When was the the last time you updated your firmware and tone studio? Keep in mind the speaker of the 50 sounds a bit thinner than the 100, so you may have to eq in a little ore bottom end.
@@Guitarnivore also, I just uploaded a video with a mention in the description of you and your work that I based my patches off of. This stuff is gold, my friend! Thanks for the inspiration.
Sometimes i dont believe that the Boss sounds so good, i have the smallest 50 but... what ... its so simple to use and so easy to make good sounds.. thx for your Videos and Samples :)
In my opinion, the speaker in the 100 sounds so much better than the 50 that it's worth every penny to get the 100, even if you don't need the power. Thanks for watching!
I don't have an ME 90 and I don't plan on getting one. Does the ME-90 use Tone Studio? If so, you may be able to integrate the basic settings into that.
