I started work there in 1966 aged 15, it was a good place to work, many happy memories. I worked there for 18 years.

I've watched some old documentaries about it. Must have a been a huge complex when it was up and running.

@@ElevateAerial when I started work there, there was 2, 000 shop floor operatives and 1, 000 office staff.

My dad worked at TBA in the 1970’s. I remember being taken round the factory during some event, possibly an “open day” during the early 1970’s. It was a really impressive place back then . Went to school at Spotland Road and quite a few of the children’s parents would have worked at Turners.
