I'll leave you with a quote from a mentor that helped me during tough times like death of those close to us. "the days may feel long, but the years will be short." I swear I have not cried in months but when I heard about coco I started crying . I have a dog named laika she’s 9 now and has had a kind of rough life due to her problems and it’s my worst nightmare to imagine anything without her. I too used to beg my parents for a dog knowing yes I won’t take care of them how much I promise to . She’s home in India rn and I’m in Canada studying . I'm a dog guy and saying goodbye is never easy even though I've done it several times in my life. My dog Carson (black Peekapoo) is always by my side and I don't know what I will do when that time comes. But in the end it is such a gift to love something so much that it hurts so bad when they leave.

fuck, my childhood dog recently got a leg condition where she could not walk, we thought she was going to die, but she got some meds and she might be ok for a while, but she's so old she's on her last few years. hearing you talk about the people/animals in your life made me cry, mortality is such an odd concept to wrestle with. i'm just glad to be alive, and hope everyone is having a great time living
