when eric touches a piece, it does not show the legal squares in circle shapes I tried hard to find that setting in the preferences but was unable to find can anyone help me

@@Sam-kj9ui he never said the tragedy happened during the opening. It was a stafford gambit game, so the “tragedy” was at least indirectly caused by the opening, yeah?

Can someone explain why didn't the opponent take the rook with their king. I am very confused.

Ultimately, the opponent did, producing a stalemate. Once Eric loses his rook, Eric has no legal moves. Stalemate.

Because black's pawn and king have no legal moves so if white takes the rook it's stalemate and that will be a draw

LUL that's why I disable chat on chess bc people are a-holes, and it destroys my playing experience. Good job on winning!! Feeeels goooood to punish a butthurt London player bc let's be honest, chances are he put very little effort into his opening when he decided to learn the London.

Folks, anyone knows what is the equivalent of 1650 chesscom rapid rating in Lichess? That's top 2% in chesscom, while to be top 2% in Lichess you gotta be over 2150. The thing is I'm not even close to 2000 in Lichess. I don't know what my rating should be anymore. Continuously losing to 1800s! Would someone share his/her thoughts?
