It jist makes the paper worse for writing

Papyrus paper is made from the stems of papyri manually cut in strips and glued together (using water to enable the sticky properties of papyrus stems) into aligned sheets that will then be doubled perpendicularly to strengthen the sheet as a whole.

Thanks! It is all plants, no paper mache. But I’ve often thought about using plant paper to make paper mache 🤔

Surprisingly durable, not brittle at all! To me it’s most similar to brown paper bag texture.
