@@Enigmatic0776 Amen! I am happy for you. I had been wanting to learn music production for over 10 years and was blocked by a Cult so I am so happy that I can do it now.
Good basics for Melodies by Mello Dee ! Two things in think about watching your video, for the arpeggios, important to play with differents octaves and put some gap at beginning or end of the chord and play with the volume to humanize it. I subscribe and wait for another video bro, good stuff !
I used serato a long time but I found myself using other programs. But I know there are some really good tutorials about serato on RU-vid. Hope u find what u Need 👋🏽
I'm still pretty new to all of this but I learned a lot thank you! I have been playing around with some of the free vst on FL20 like bio hazard and harmless and they're pretty fun to use I created a ton of cool sounds and melo dee's from them ha you see what I did there? No but seriously, are there any VSTs that you recommended that are free or less expensive for a beginner?
Absolutely. I may do a vid on that. But I'd recommend cymatics origin, see if you can get Arturia Mello tape for free, collab3 organ, Flex (comes with fl studio, best free plugin, download all the free banks), Labs by spitfire (this is a must for good free sounds)
Less expensive, Xpand would be my recommendation. It's like $60 now but they used to let it go for $1 and $15. Keep an eye on plugin boutique. Genesis pro is great at $1. Check out some of cherry audios synths, they're $25 each
from a CHORD perspective, that would be modulation. Modulation is when you BORROW or use chords from a different scale than the one you're in. There are all types of modulations but the only two i talk about on my channel are diminished chords and secondary dominants. Both of those are recent videos so you can check them out. from a melody perspective, you would use neighbor tones at different points, which is something I haven't went over on the channel and may not ever go over because it's not done often in contemporary music.
