The idea had occurred to me. I searched the internet and found your video, which was both interesting and useful. Thanks!

Cool, thanks! I just looked at about 7 such videos and was just about to give up because of all the shredding, drill-mixing into porridge, and non-duplicatible equipment.... But your process is fewer steps and fuss, making it look much more practical and less convoluted.

Your method is much easier! I think I'll shred them and just make a nice stack. This will make me go camping more 🙂

Thanks! I definitely agree, its best to sit down and make a big batch at a time. Check out the firestarters video I just put out if like this one. They work incredibly well!

Thanks for the video. How long do they roughly take to dry enough to burn? I made some in to balls by hand but couldn’t get them to dry out, so I through them away.

It really depends on the temperature where you are drying them. I usually stack the wet bricks along side the wood stove at a safe distance and they dry fairly quickly. A week or two. I made a batch in my garage in the winter and they took a month to dry out

I didnt time them but I will next batch I make. Slower than you would think though as long as you compress them tightly
