Hi JT. Hammock swings are the best thing in the world ever. I get mine off Amazon. I get everything off Amazon lol. I’ve got a wooden three swing frame & was going to take it down when the kids hit their teens and weren’t interested. But then I discovered hammock seats. I usually have two double or xl ones up so they have loads of room. Then my daughter started learning aerial hoops and silks, so we hang her practice ones on the swing frame too. There’s a deck on the end for the slide, which split after 15 or so years. So I turned the space underneath the slide deck into a dog kennel so my hounds have somewhere cool to hide in the summer. Plus, like yours they like to be near where I am. So all good when I’m chilling in the hammock. I found a pipe reel, those things that look like a giant cotton reel. I used my multi tool to carve grooves in the top and painted each ‘slat’ a different shade of blue and green and it’s now a cool side table that looks like it’s made from reclaimed wood. It sits between the hammock seats & is just the right height. Ive got solar lights all around the garden as I have no external outlets & I’m not brave enough to attempt putting one in. There’s been many summer evenings where I’ve sat out late chilling in the hammock, reading, listening to the world fall asleep and then woken up in the early morning hours still out there, getting a bit damp from the dew. No. My kids don’t wake me they just leave me in my happy place. My daughters friends dug me a fire pit to say thanks for letting them always chill at mine and all the bbq’s I cook for them. So over time I’ve replaced the camp chairs with pallet seats. For cushions I go to the cheap stores and buy large dog cushion style beds. They fit the size well and cost no more than $15-20. Unlike the ‘pallet cushions’ which are really just seat pads for benches, you get in like Amazon that are over $100. They are softer and more comfy too. One seat is slightly larger and fits my giant bean bag, that’s my spot lol. I literally live outside in the summer, so my garden is an extension of my front room. The great thing about my family is that my kids have great friends. So when my friends & their friends are all at mine everyone gets on despite the age difference. I bought a large 12ft (might be 15, I can’t remember) framed pool and everyone just jumps in and has fun. Except the dog, they hide. It’s late April now, weather is getting warmer, so nearly time to set the garden up for the summer. And the best thing is my youngest niece has started coming to stay during the school holidays. She is the same age as one of my daughters friends kids, so I’m going to steal her for a day and hope the girls become friends, they are both Tom boys who like rock music, boarding and skating, so I’m feeling positive about it. I might even put the tent up so they can camp out. Which will annoy the dogs lol. And it will be nice seeing the garden enjoyed by kids again. It’s been a bit quiet since my daughter moved to a different county.
I think we could all pop over for a beer and a burger 🍔. Looks great, I see solar lights have been recommended and that's definitely the way to go I think, no faffing and free to run. I've been watching your other channel for a while now and only tonight found this other channel. I have to say, you're very lucky. I own several properties in the UK and I envy what you have there. The space. Being able to go to a store and pick up pretty much anything you need from one place. Big cars. Cheap (compared to here) gas. You guys are awesome. Brilliant really enjoyed this, being from UK, I tend to get stuck into UK/European culture as there is SOOOOOO much! However this channel is great and an insight into your life and culture with no BS👍🏻🙂. Keep it up. Love the decking & swing.

Hey you two, what a chill video. Sure looks like a happy zone. You got your juicy burgers and cheese, (no squirty sauce/mayo?), you got your Tikki torches, no bugs, and you got your Seagram's ice cold ... oh and your spinning hammock which may or may not come crashing down depending on how much damage the wood bees cause. Maybe you could get some solar powered hanging lanterns which would solve the issue of having to channel a power cable from the outlet all the way from one side to the other. Keep spreading the love and kindness, and continued success with this new vlog. We love you in the UK. Oh and 'Barky bark,Woof-woof, Maggie and Charlie '.
Hey, JT, why not get some solar lights? I have some strung over a tree at the back of my garden, 30 feet from the house. As long as the solar panel gets clear light in the day-time they should work for at least 5 or 6 hours at night...free power too!

You are both braver than me my husband built a pergola in back garden and brought colourful hammock seats.. Have I sat in them hell no... I am it will fall down lol. What a beautiful area so much freedom for dogs to play and peaceful. Just before you said how much you love power hose in my head going what is it with men and power hoses... husband is 63 today could not decide what boy toy he wanted I bet if I suggested upgraded power hose it would be a hit lol Keep having fun and stay safe.
I need a proper back garden area to chill in. Give me a heads up when you clean Anna's car so I can get a beer or two and I promise not to comment too much. That's my thing. I clean cars for free to relax. Just me and a car for four to eight hours.
How would a Kentucky Grandma prepare a dinner. What is the local fare there ? So far we've seen that you could have wild turkey, catfish, bass & turtle.
Do you live near that "Turtle Man". I've seen him doing his stuff in Kentucky. That guy is off his head. Feeling around in ponds looking for snapping turtles. Crazy man lol
They put wheels on them and they're towed by a semi. Once parked the wheels are taken off the frame. I got stuck behind two on the Interstate each one took up two lanes, each one was one half of the same structure. They can get very big
