These twist were my moms GO TO with my fine hair in the 90s. Designs, pumps, ponytails, colorful rubber bands and balls and barrettes. Ugh I miss the 90s

😂😂😂ok we made the best out of everything lol. Teen parties was to the max 😂😂😂 Even the kids who hated school went and did they work just to go to the dances. Times was hard but we had fun in between. 😅

Most definitely thought I was the only one that noticed this was 2000s hair especially with the swoop twists. The telephone cords came a couple of years later. I use to wear these hairstyles with the swoops and telephone cords for years.

We weren’t wearing lashes back then, mascara yes. Hair style, shoes, jewelry, and outfit on point. At least in the area I am from back in the day, lashes weren’t worn. Although they have been around for decades.
@@brooketillis7604 A lot of these glam trends that we see today came straight from Afro American women. Others started once it trended in the media much later. They have no idea just how old many of these trends are. It’s really a certain type of blk woman who’s glam has gone global and is now the standard for beauty which is crazy and cool if you know who those women are. IYKYK! They deserve their roses.

It's because they did use this song in the movie on one of the club scene,😅 and also too the movie was filmed in Atlanta. Atlanta was known for the biggest freak nik parties in the 90s too, that's pretty much were it originated from.
@@antasiaward1036 I was referring to the clothing. Not the hairstyle. I think we can both agree 90s women fashion were more covered/ baggy and still looked sexy. North West got the fashion style more right than this girl.
On POINT from the twists in the hair to the nails. The denim outfit , bamboo earrings, sunglasses, the belt, jewelry stacking, side bangs, only missing the nameplate necklace that EVERYONE on EARTH had! ...does anyone remember those belts and bracelets that had interchangeable letters, so you could change the letters to anything you wanted.
Yeah it's cuteeeee! And its like late 90s early 00s. I def wore this in middle school and early high school with the butterfly clips. I was 8th grade 99/00.

I swear! This all I remember was tootsie rolling, scrub the ground, come on ride that train, the butterfly. I'm a 90s child and I remember playing outside with my friends and hearing and dancing to these songs. 🥰 such good times!
