Is it necessary to close the part with the key in between use? Or can it be left open as long as the dial is turned off?

How do you open up the rear panel of an o2 machine to replace an empty oxygen bottle with a full one?

What if you don't have the device to turn it on & off

How long does the oxygen last?? Cause I have one and it only lasted 2 days
