This song not only hits so close to home but it reminds me of 2 special individuals that I have ever had the privilege of meeting. The first women to pass through my life that I never could have imagined could have changed me and stripped me down to my bare bones. I truly did love her but by my own hand and my own neglect to care for what I had in that moment. She slipped away from my hands and she took a piece of me with her as she married another man that would treat her right and give her everything I could not because I was a fool. My only regret is not realizing what I had in that moment and cherishing every moment with her. The 2nd woman found me later in my life after the Lord had restored the gaps within me and later strengthened my character and gave me wisdom to cherish what I have. Every bit of the man I should have been in the past now completely belongs to the 2nd woman and I now have the privilege of calling her my wife and the love of my life.
