12:40 "Mujahideen" is an Arabic plural that generally means: those who do Jihad (holy war/struggle). But it is also used to refer to groups like the Afghan Muj or Mujahideen who fought against the Soviets.
this video gave me an idea for a fun thing you could do in squad, call it protect the press or some shit, 1 player only has a knife and 1 player has a gun, and you try to get through as many combat zones without dying as you can. probably could be refined but this was just a thought i had lol
Sometimes if i get bored of playing the game as intended, I go with the unarmed role and see if i can be adopted/captured by the opposing team. I'm usually shot on sight, even whilst my arms are in the air. I have however been captured once only to be publicly executed after the commander said no POW's :(
Reminds me of clan games with the MOHAA SH leagues years ago. Getting clubbed to death with a pistol or rifle butt was an embarrassing jolity 😂 Late night objective maps would descend into the last couple of players on each team duking it out with everyone else spectating and gobshiting on team speak. Happy days😊
ICO lead a "...large chunk of the community leaving the game entirely" absolutely some folks left, but this is beyond hyperbole to say a large chunk and that level of hyperbole is not needed in the video
It did though!! large chunks of veteran players and the community did leave the game due to ico. Whole clans that played the game for nearly a decade disappeared, simply replaced by new players brought in by the neverendum of sales.
@@XfX-Infinitythat just ridiculous. They didn't lose 50% or more (a large chunk) of the community there was no significant drop right after ICO launched and no single sale has ever generated 5k plus uplift. Slorgs has changed his wording as when you look back at what he said in his videos initially after the ICO all of this was put into more realistic terms
@@justme20244 since when did a large chunk equate 50%!! it is beyond reproach that a large number of veteran players left when ICO dropped replaced by ICO larpers just like slorgs who recently has been pretty disparaging of the update... player numbers have stagnated with the avg count hovering around 11k which it never seems to stay above for very long. All that happened was ICO dumped a lot of players who were not happy with it but at the same time onboarded ones who enjoyed it or new players who were indifferent
@@erikn.8626 4-4-7... 4 kills, 4 deaths, and 7 incapacitations (4 of which died). Slorgs likes to call out his "downs" as kills. I like to give him shit for it just cuz... :D
I can remember begging you in the comments to come play Squad haha, back in the ole PR days! Love the videos d00d, you are an inspiration! COME PLAY Beyond The Wire (squad 17), it is a content goldmine! 😁🪖
Hey dude, I have a couple beyond the wire videos on this channel, it's a very cool game but it's hella dead. I spoke with the devs about it not even they want the beyond the wire publicity they have fully abandoned it
@@slorgs yeah, they got put on Troopers... its still a blast though! We play every Saturday at 1pm EST if you ever care to join us... a literal content GOLDMINE! We think it might get revived! Maybe tubers still covering it just might help... 😁
You know what i dont have trouble with IRL on the range... recoil control, weapon sway, and other gamified bullshit that squad has to offer. (Suppression is a real thing, but can be mitigated through movement and tactics.) Solo run and gun guys can easily be countered... if you dont have a brain dead lobby of noobs.
Everything's easier on the range than it is in combat. In any case, the point is using unrealistic mechanics to promote realistic behaviour. There's a million games about using your FPS skills to score headshots and noscopes, but Squad is about forcing players to organise and stick together.
