I would join only to play an army which theme is about a cult believing that they will "find the real treasure along the way", awfully misinterpreting the actual phrase and so they are constantly in motion, with all sorts of trinkets and wheels. Maybe a conversion of the snail knights army, or perhaps the procession of woes.
Yeah, I feel like mutation and fundamental change to life as we understand it from forces either alien or supernatural is a far more interesting concept, and one rife with potential for creative setting and character/creature design.
So, there are cults that worship "the root". Are there any counter cults that worship the mushrooms that feed on the root? "Fungus VS Tuber" if you will.
I actually had an idea for an army for turnip that is a bunch of people infested with mushrooms who haul a bloated First Infested as their idol/comander and spread the shroomy blessing to whoever is fortunate or unfortunate to stay in their path
I've always had this idea that over in America instead of different warring cults its warbands aligned with either the union or the confederacy endlessly battling against eachother and also since its not connected to the old world and you NEED to cross the ocean to get there The Root couldn't spread to it and instead it's like crabs or something.
I'd imagine that America developed into some steampunk/dieselpunk society that occasionally sends expeditions over to Europe to see what's happening over there and the Europeans who witness them get America and Atlantis confused together when telling others about it.
I hate to say it, but I could someone making a movie out of this setting. Maybe something resembling 80s cult films like ‘Wizards’ in terms of art style. I could see it have a similar style of humor to something like Monty Python, where we don’t really have a central cast of characters but it’s more skits that give different perspectives on the world. A common theme would be that everyone has these hideous mutations and generally engage in activities that we would consider absurd or gross, but everyone else just kinda shrugs it off. I can even imagine one scene where a commander is giving his soldiers what he thinks is supposed to be a rousing speech, then all of a sudden he just throws his head to one side and a constant stream of puke just erupts from his mouth, possibly in the face of one of his toadies who’s standing there expressly for the purpose. The camera would then cut back to the soldiers who’d probably glance at one another while this is going on, then cuts back to the commander who, after an extended period of time vomiting, suddenly returns to his speech as if nothing happened.
@@XYZ-eo8umYou have just awakened a fight ot flight response from me. Holy shit Mad God by Phill Tippet is a fucking ride, it sure is, I'll have to rewatch it again, there's just nothing like it.
It looks like a love child of a bunch of people who loved Mordheim but were heart broken to find out that all the crazy Breugel meets Burton art had little to do with the actual lore. Just like how the confused folks playing WFRP 2 pushed for a more low fantasy version of the game with Zweihander.
The Root sounds like the Red Weed from War of the Worlds. Maybe the martians plan is to play the long game with the Root first before visiting in person...
Tank you for this I'm trying this system lator this week and because of this I learned lore wile comuting without needing to read. As that can lead to complications
Honestly, thier kickstarter and patreon is the only place to mini's based on thier setting, but the game is designed for people to use and mini's you have lying around. A lot of people buy historical napolenic mini's and modify them with mutations and stuff.
This is a really cool and educational video, great job. I do have one piece of constructive criticism though. I noticed throughout the video you would start saying something slowly, and then feel the need to complete the sentence super super quickly. It's a little bit jarring when you are in the middle of a sentence and you completely change the speed that you are speaking at. It can actually make things a little bit hard to understand. That's the only change I would attempt to make, other than that a really great video
what happenned y the americas the root goes to the ocean too? or there is anotther manifestation and dont it a root. maybe like a diferent aspet of the same god (sory no ingles)
@@ArvandusTheStoryteller imagine the ocean the deep creatures that we never know the existance and the humans, so cool lore your video rocks thanks you very much.
I'm actually not a fan of this narrative style.I have heard good things about the game But I don't think I'll be watching this channel to learn about it
