I just moshed in my livingroom to this and realised i dont need drugs, hardcore is what will get me through drugs tysm for step 2 rythim turnstile! I think it saved my life, took me away from bad habits!
53 year-old Gen Xer.... Bummed at the fact I've slept on these dudes for 10+ years. Its like little bits of every favorite band of mine rolled into one of the most beautiful things ive ever heard.... Life. Changed
@@maxx1014 that's great for you. It doesn't make it the best hardcore . That's like saying xxxtension is the best rapper.well for first he isn't rap 🤷🤷
These groovy dudes are one of my favorite bands. Their sound is one of my favorites and Brendan's vocals give me RATM flashbacks and I love that shit. TURNSTILE TRIBE FOREVER
Thanks for this album and 'pressure to succeed', Turnstile. I listen to it going to and from work almost everyday. It's hard to not mosh whilst driving. Big ups from Down Under.
@@fumaremigel thanks bro. Eh high school was almost 10 years ago for me and there were a few problems I had but nothing that broke me or was really too serious in the first place. I was just a really nice kid and a lot of people tried to take advantage of that and some would try to intimidate me.
Forreal though the thing is if you do have bullies and you fight back even if you lose they gonna be thinking alot before they try it again. Think about it, no one wants to get in a fight every day not even a bully. If you got to fight em twice then do it. Physical pain heals quickly but knowing you were fucked with and treated like a bitch leaves scars that last most people a life time. I lived by this and it did me well. Even though I understand not everyone has it in them. Im just saying if you fight back you'll get positive results and that's facts
@@brandonelm4891 couldn’t have said it better my friend. And yes doing nothing to defend yourself scars deeply. I still kick myself in the ass for times I should have had a back bone, even if it happened years and years ago
I remember the first time I heard "canned heat", I had to listen to it again because I could not believe how funky that breakdown was. Reminded me of Leeway or No Warning.
The first time I put this on in the whip years ago my wife said “ew is this old 311 or something?” Now it’s like one of the few hardcore bands she can tolerate.
Joseph Svoboda there is lighter songs on the full length but just listen to the whole albums seriously you should enjoy it they really haven't changed that much
Quante parole , chiedo scusa...😁👍
+Video Games IRL when they played outbreak ( their first UK show) shit went off five hundred people packed into a warehouse stage dives, moon stomps/ stepping cross stage and a massive pit in middle- one of best vibes at a hardcore show i've ever seen so much dancing and friendly positive aggression . Gutted i missed last outbreak if i am honest.
weekend nachos did it MUCH MUCH MUCH better and and at the same time didn't exclude metal heads from the mix. I get that Turnstile is fun but i'd never consider this heavy or even one of the catchier bands. Just very accessible.
i just watched them today. Didn't give a crap about the band before. Now, I respect them. I don't remember head banging as much when watching a band I didn't know.
I've been there before, leaving my heart like an open door. Breaking my back, wasting my time, I lost my sight. I'll shake it off and step out of line I'm thinking that it's about time to find control and slip away Watch your step, don't get caught. Are you gonna lead me the wrong way? take me out again? I'm not your decision, get me outta here. Wasting my time. and your half-ass ways i'll forget I won't just smile and pretend New rules that I've been taught: watch your step, don't get caught
"i cant understand how people dont like this" is a pretty ignorant statement mate - just enjoy it and dont think about what others think of this, everyone's got their own opinions
Did the same to me and I been a HC fan my whole life since listen to music. These katz are just different to me. They remind me of so many bands mixed all into one from growing up. Their vocals and riffs are sooooo insane. Watch the new song HOLIDAY, the kat just standing their dancing is how I feal when I listen to these dudes. It's either that, or I want to SMASH shit cause they so hard..lol
311, Jane's Addiction, Fugazi, Leeway, Helmet, RATM....so many bands whose influences are heard in Turnstile. It's what makes this band so appealing. There is bound to be a song that just hits you so perfectly...and if you're lucky...many. 🙏
Hell yeah!!!! All the dope bands from the 90s and the beastie boys gang banging dime bag Darrell!!! P.s. helmet rules!!! Check out quicksand and crowbar!
@rasmusgarbonzo1411 dude I get the aversion to that comparison but the one good thing about 311 was those chill ass choruses that made you feel a certain type of way. Turnstile has that but they aren't cringe. Cringe aside, I love 311, everyone does. If you say you don't you're lying and your eclectic tastes don't impress me. You gotta come original bro.
@@aaron6084 Yea i feel , I meant this all as no diss ofc. But I genuinely havent listened to enough 311 to say I hear the influence. I only know a few songz
