I'm not a big fan of Korean cars. I've got stuck with a Elantra rental and I hated it. I'm a Volkswagen guy myself but I'll admit. Any car that can take an armadillo out and have minor damage is pretty good in my book. I took out a good size armadillo in a semi truck outside of DFW on I35 and it cost my company nearly $3000 to repair the bumper mount and radiator support. Hopefully everything works out for you uberman
Don't use your own money. The woman was the one that made the damages, make her pay or sue her. Please let us know how to sue people who damage our cars through Turo.
I'm thinking you'll end up paying zero out-of-pocket on this ordeal. Turo, since they're new and don't want bad PR being as you're such a celebrity, will end up eating the cost rather than it flowing through any insurance. Btw ~ Props for always being the guinea pig. *_You da man!_*
I think in the future you do a walk around with the person renting the car and sign off that there is no damage...........hence when it's returned with damage you got'em
I always take tons of pics before the renter gets to take the car. I've never thought of taking pictures of under the car. I will now!! Maybe even a video!
Auto Auction Rebuilds so if i rent with premium from Turo , do I still need to pay from my pocket if the car I’ve rented been in accident ? Is it secondary? Meaning that I have to have a full coverage bought from another company?
If Turo runs their biz like other car rentals, they make the customer cover the car with rental company insurance OR their own personal auto insurance. I would also think that Turo would tell you up front in their contract with you how this kind of situation is handled. 😔
It's through Turo. It costs me 35% of each rental. Covers any / all damages. Even scratches, stains, lost wages, etc. My regular insurance for 3 cars is $300/mo with $100 deductible full coverage.
It can be either. It all depends on if the other insurance will cover it. They also offer insurance (for a premium) to the renter as well as what I pay as the rentee. They must make a killing on this insurance.
Make sure you have a good insurance policy if you want to get into this business. Some renter could run over a bunch of school children and you would be indirectly liable for it. I use to insure rental agencies. Terrible losses.
Curious on how it plays out. I'm thinking either Turo will see how much they have made from you and pay it since it's small or give you the he said she said runaround
I know this is an old video. I’m not sure if you’ll see this post or respond. Im wondering does turo compensate for down time? Because when I rent from enterprise the way they get me to upgrade my insurance is they tell me that if the vehicle is damaged I’d be responsible for lost revenue.
Renting your car out to strangers is never a good idea. Nor is letting strangers ride with you, either. Delivering stuff to people is a much safer way to make money off your car than using Uber/Lyft or Turo.
I really need to publish some stories, I have 15 cars listed on turo and about 300 trips, I have some horror stories from totaled cars, to transmission mess up, to hiding accidents, identity theft, suspended license and much more
Hey I got an email from Uber the other day that I'm not accepting enough trips. Is there policy still if you don't accept that many its a 3 minute timeout? Or can they deactivate you? Thank you a million love your videos :)
Hey Randy. Off topic, but is there a way I can contact you by email? Reason being because one of my questions refers to the Indy market. Also, since you drove here, do you have a rough idea about how much referral amount you and I will receive when I sign up, (soon), with your code? Thanks, Mark
That woman is foolish for not keeping the mounting hardware, and she probably drove the car with the animal dragging inside it which likely made it worse. These type of people never act responsibly and behave like dummies.
Not my experience. My 06 Mustang GT vert crashed by man. My '15 Mustang GT thrashed on by a man. '15 Sonata torn up by a woman. '15 Elantra damaged by a woman. It's been 50/50 for me.
It may have crawled under the car while it was parked, and when she drove off it got stuck and dragged, which accounts for the armadillo being in pieces and the drag marks on its shell and the skid plate. I'm sure when she hit a pothole. that little guy went to pieces......😉 ok bad joke lol, but you get what I'm saying.
Uber man, I have a question about a guest had for me about Turo. I'm a host. The guest wants to know " If I add another driver(my roommate) will he be able to pick up the car?"
Turo wont cover without proof it happened under their watch.....since she is denying it happened I am not sure how you aren't going to get stuck here. Lady needs to step up.... By the way nice click bait!! worked
Kia and Hyundai dealers should be really great because their products suck. They are recalled the most and most of the cars are butt ugly. Glad you like it all but I'd never buy a Hyundai unless it was a Genesis
Henrison Daily lol not gonna happen my channel is safe. But feel free to spend your time disliking as many videos as you can to prove me wrong. I'll be out here living life. :)
Perhaps you don't understand economics. I'll break it down for you. Hyunday = UberSelect & UberX & most rented car on Turo at this time. $ = Baby.. Mustang = Not on Turo, Not Uber-able, not making $$$$ = Toy.
Uber Man I understand Economics just fine. A "baby" doesn't make you money. You have to take care of a baby and to do so cost money. Sure, you can throw turo and uber in my face all you want but what's really going to end up happening is you finding yourself breaking even and not making a whole lot off your Hyundai. I did Uber for a night in my mustang because uber was retarded enough to not spot check my application and allowed me to do it. Frankly, the way people treat stuff that is not theirs is cringeworthy. I'm shocked you are ok with allowing some asshole that has no respect for you to drive your cherished Hyundai. It's a huge waste of money to begin with. Back to the beginning; a baby and a toy are essentially the same thing. I can have a "toy" and call it a "baby" the same as I call my "Workhorse" Chevy my baby. Sorry if I made you Butthurt on a new level. That was not initially my goal.
