3:26 I also have this issue in Microsoft Flight Simulator with the Boeing Thrustmaster Quadrant. I havent found a solution and there doesnt seem to be much info online about this.
Thanks for sharing. Looking at getting into flight simulator and building a sim rig to go with my American truck simulator rig i am building. Excited to give this a try
How does this work with reverse trust? Can you actually pull back the throttle like with a HOTAS warthog to enable reverse trust or does the handle simply only go back and forth all the way?
Could you review the Toliss a319? Is see you flying it a lot. I have the A321 and I want a good A319 but I don’t know if I should just wait for the FENIX A319 and A321 in MSFS or buy the Toliss but never touch it once FENIX releases in a few months.
Got mine yesterday and can't wait to start setting it up for Star Citizen and DCS. With the major updates in Salvaging and Tractor Beams etc in Star Citizen I ran out of logical key binds and combos on my X52 pro. ( limited modifiers didn't help) With the amount of inputs this has I won't need any modifiers or double clicks. Also didn't have a functioning curser hat which is really missed in DCS.
I highly recommend reconfiguring your x52 for left hand use, when dealing with a game like SC (or any space flight game) dual stick (HOSAS) is far superior to HOTAS when dealing with 6DOF I would still keep the throttle to the side for extra binding or when cruising, its just a night/day difference in the control you gain over your ship
Hey sorry for randomly getting to this Comment, i wanted to ask how you like this HOTAS in Star Citizen? i want to get it myself, i already have the small turtle beach flight stick but wanted to get a new hotas setup and i would love this one becouse it jsut so "scifi esk" :D
@@LuxPlanes it’s fine. Thanks so much for replying to me and hearting my comment btw I want to be like you and do voice overs in my videos but my voice might not get me any views lol
Another thing to note, since this is very new. Got me them recently. Is the screw hole pattern matches the VelocityOne FlightStick, so if your looking for mounts to attach to desk.
Hey! What do you mean by “cup”? However, there is actually not so much plastic on the side stick, it’s covered in a rubber/silicon material which makes the grip nice
Professional Cable management, i see. I use the TCA Thurustmaster and for commercial Flightsimming (for me Fenix A320) it works very well. I use the Copilots side so having the Sidestick on the right isn't too big of a problem for me. Else the Turtle beach looks very Military themed for me. Especially the big ass Thrustlevers arent really practical for Airbus and Boeing in my opinion. Still I appreciate your review
LOL, yeah cable management is not my thing haha. i just dump the cables and let them do there thing :) I love the design of the TCA side stick but unfortunately ive had 4 and theyve ALL had problems every single one of them has a twitchy rudder axis moving to the left without command or even touching the throttle after a few hours of use. and 2 of them had really bad movements where it would require different force to move the same amount. and 1 of them ignored 50% of the movable stick area so it was basically 2X as sensitive and there was no fix for it. its sad because its a great product and somehow everyone else gets good ones but i somehow got unlucky 4 times in a row. it could also be maybe my region is by some other supplier where the quality isnt the same. who knows :/ sorry for that rant lmao and yeah this HOTAS is definitely very military themed, which military aviation isnt my thing, but i dont really mind considering im not looking at it while flying. i just appreciate all the bindings :) im glad you enjoyed this review! thanks for watching! have a good day :)
@@LuxPlanes yeah I do the same with my cables. I also had an issue with one, that I made by myself and thrustmaster gave me a new product which is working perfectly
@@LuxPlanes My biggest complaint on the TCA is that the throttle moves too freely. It needs to be designed with more resistance to make them move smoothly. But I also had a bad rudder twist, had to disable it and use real rudder pedals.
Had to send mine back. It arrived with three of the switches on the bottom left of the flightstick base broken off....waiting for a new one to be sent to me.
Yeah, I'm on my third replacement. The first one the Y-axis on the stick stopped responding. Got it replaced quickly by Amazon and that one the pinky trigger was defective, the HUD on the stick turned off and on during gameplay, and the gear lever fell apart. Since it is under warranty Turtle Beach is replacing it with a third one and they are taking their time. I'm considering returning it for a refund. They told me they shipped my replacement on the 25th but the USPS has told me they have not received the item yet. When I confronted The Customer service rep at Turtle Beach I was told to wait 10 days before they would talk to their shipping department to see if there was a problem getting it shipped out. What a joke. It's a nice HOTAs but they need to work on their QC and lower the price. I originally bought the first one on February 25 and only got to enjoy using it for only 10 days before the Y-axis went dead. Didn't get to enjoy the second one at all. Good luck to you and I hope you get a good replacement.
@@OMGammafox Using the replacement now, got it Friday. Your 100% right on the QC issue...the one I sent back had very bright and vivid LED's and the color was spot on, this replacement I got has dim and low color LED's for some reason...the Buttons that were broke on the last one are good on this one but they seem flimsy and loose, I can twist them at the top with a little play. QC is Chinese based probably. Still a great design...but the Oversight is non existent.
@@araynortassadore3056 Yes, I love the design and very glad you got a replacement with no major defects which gives me hope concerning my third replacement which still has not arrived yet. As long as everything works and is not broken, I'll be happy. Correct me if I'm wrong, are we not able to adjust the brightness of the LED lighting? I know I can do it with my Velocity One Flight Stick. So now here's the big question, how long will it last with gameplay?
@@araynortassadore3056 The Easter bunny delivered my replacement today. Unexpected. Hats off to customer support! Everything is working fine but the first two Flightdecks I returned, the buttons you spoke of that seemed loose were pretty solid on my first two Flightdecks. On this third replacement though the third button seems flimsy and loose like what you described. Hopefully it doesn't break. And you're right, the LEDs do seem a little dimmer than the last two. Must be a different batch. Still, I'm very happy getting the replacement. Going to put it through the rigors in Sim battles in War Thunder for the week. We'll see how it holds up.
