Props for staying in character the full video! I don’t know why it was so satisfying watching them hunt the crabs and shrimp down. Good to know that crabs can climb styrofoam walls, tough beasties. 😂

Awesome turtle chef! One question. My red ear slider hatchling does not eat my zoo med pellets, but does devours the seafood medley treats. How do I get him to eat pellets?

Wait him out. Turtles are stubborn and will go for the higher quality stuff, but try feeding daily what they wont eat for a week or two and eventually they cave :)

Never bleeds, their blood circulation is different from ours.

Any tips on feeding wild caught adult red ear sliders? Yes I know it’s bad to get a wild caught animal but it was invasive to California so we had to keep it and we didn’t want to kill it.

Been there my friend! I would feed it normal food sticks for when it acclimates to captivity, check out my video on the ultimate turtle feeding guide. Until then try live foods such as guppies or worms, things it would find naturally. Or leafy greens! Once it gets on those convert over to pellets. Also they can go weeks without eating, so don't worry if it doesnt for a bit!

Honestly if you're building a pond, I'd adopt turtles that need a home! There are tons of red ear sliders and yellow bellies that have been kept in small tanks their entire lives and would love a nice big pond 😊😊

those fiddeler crabs can have parasites to, a couple of days ago i got afew and a paracite crawled out of one and they get their food from sand which have paracites too.🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀😵😵😵😵😵😵

texas fishing finatic I've heard that some parasite are natural in terrapins and don't really harm them, and even then they often excrete them with little to no ill effects
