Evening all! Thanks for all the comments about the first part of my Tuscany Trail video. Seeing as you're hungry for more Italian gravel/bikepacking fun, here's the second instalment.
On day 2 we rode from a town before Florence down to Siena. Some stats:

Come on Girls, toughen up! Yes it's hot, sweaty, hilly and tough going. Yet you are in Tuscany riding off-road across a spectacular landscape, and each rest stop brings great coffee and delicious pastries. Think of us, mere mortals, going to work in the rain...Looking forward to the next vlog.

OMG, what an effort, many kudos. So great: you're visiting all the places I've visited way back on our Tuscany trip in 2006, but that was by car, because I was not back into biking then. Such a gorgeous landscape and those towns... San Gimignano, Firenze, Lucca, just wonderful

fun video again Juliet..makes me feel better now that you sometimes...struggle ! lol...i guess a gravel climb is a lot harder than a road climb. Although i'm not crazy about trails like these, having to grab your bike to get over some water is not my cup of tea...in otherwords i prefer road !...and Florence is an amazing city. In all the cities i've been in Europe Florence is well on top of my list. Cheers from Montréal Canada !!

Well done, more lovely views from the ride! Mentally hard to pedal when it's hot and makes you think why all the long suffering for short moments of beautiful scenery. You forgot to add background music! Makes the video more enjoyable to watch :)

just a tip .... put water bottle on back pocket to increase the distance you need to hunt for buy or refill :-)

Hi Juliet, Quick question, I am already registered for the 2022 TUscany trail and I’m doing all the planning, is it necessary to bring in your bike lot and lot of water ? I read that you find places to buy or get water very often, please give me your advise. Thank you in advance.!

Hi, I took two large bidons and kept refilling them. It wasn’t too much of a problem. If you use the app Komoot you can search on there for public water fountains

last year I did a siena/holland ride bikepacking on roadbike but the first days there where HOT 40C ..... kinda used around 10 liters a day of water to drink and poor overmy head ....
