THIS is one of the most amazing artistic creations I've ever seen. The man is 100% artist, 100% craftsman and 100% engineer. Forgot: master storyteller. Use of color, shape and space amazing. Super scenery. The train cam tells the real story - it has a complete reality of its own.
Port Royal is excellent modelling work, sir! I really enjoyed the views of your model of the Hotel Royal. Unfortunately, the real Hotel Royal is in terrible condition. I wish we as a society cared more about preserving these priceless buildings. They are our past, our heritage, and when they're gone, they're gone forever. So sad.
Perhaps the best starting point, the fidelity to the authentic scene and story, then let the architecture, proxemics, color tell the rest in the evolving progression. The hobby at its most appealing, undominated by crude enthusiasts enthralled by the mechanics of their off-the-shelf purchases. An absolute pleasure to watch this gentleman.
Thank you so much for posting your incredibly beautiful and well done layout, George. You've been put a lot of effort in every aspect of this layout and that specially highlights in the spectacular scenery.Very well care trees and structures and at the cab view scenes, this layout really seems like the real thing !. Your level of detail is truly amazing and the best; without being overcharged. I really enjoyed every second of your video and there's no question that you have here a Real Dream Come True. Your layout is a state of the art master piece and I can imagine tha you had spend most of your life building it. Congratulations in deep for this awesome work, George. Cheers, John from Chile, South America.
The past lives again! An amazing amount of careful thought and explicit detail went into this wonderful layout. Thanks for sharing it with us. That cast iron sign is a real treasure, isn't it?
This is by far one of the best realistic model railroads I've seen. Great little details like the trestle and the New Port and Sherman's Valley doodlebug. Excellent layout.
I enjoyed this very much. It is well staged and narrated and the scenery is a fine representation of the area -- the Middle Division of the PRR if memory serves.
