Respectfully, it’s a lot going on here. I understand that budgets and leadership have just been put into place so I’ll give them grace. Can’t wait to see next year! ❤
6:05 not the younger alumni forgetting and looking stiff with the moves and mama with the grey hair showing them how it’s done😂 it’s giving she still buss out the moves in her mirror😂!
@@therealmccoy2004 lol no need for you to watch them if you would prefer for them not to have a band, just pretend this video isn't even here 🤭 while we're at it, let's go ahead and take away any of those band kids scholarships so they can't afford to attend the prestigious school and get their degree, since your solution is to just get rid of the band. 🤷♂️
Wow the school has not had a homecoming in two years. All I see is former students enjoying themselves. As a parent of a Presidential Scholar I don’t see anything wrong with this. Some of these people give back to the school which allows our kids to attend. So let them enjoy in Their School and take Pride of being a Tuskegee Graduate.
They can benefit from a THEE Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South band camp. The girls need to contact the J-Setttes or call Dianna Williams Dancing Dolls.
You are so silly, no one needs to contact anyone. Skegee is a small school in the middle of nowhere with very high academic standards while JSU has a VERY relaxed admissions policy and heck, they would admit Elmer Fudd. Folk are also still cautious about sending their kids to AL--I had to beg my parents to let me go there even though they attended. With those circumstances, you just don't get a lot of people interested in anything but academics. But we earn high salaries after graduation and that is what college is really all about.
I'm so confused. This look like group that just said that's go play on the park with matching uniforms a couple dancers and some supporters. Man I'm dead.
Actually we didn’t have a year to decide. It was a last minute decision to even have alumni band. If you look back to 2018 you will see a alumni band of over 300 returning members that actually attended rehearsal were all wearing the same shirts.
You know, you get out there and do your performance and most of the time in most of these areas you don't win a popularity contest, but you don't get out there and not be taken seriously at all by just letting any old joker join in and make you look like a big joke. I really can't tell you what Tuskegee University Marching Band is able to do because they want to win a popularity contest before being the best that they can be by giving a serious performance. Just do the performance and take not being liked and then up your game. Just don't do this what I see!
May I add, there is a special place for the Alumni [no offense meant to Alumni everywhere] just let the Majors performance and be part of the group [with costumes and working with the Choreographer]. I love seeing Alumni perform, but not like this [didn't mean to offend].
No one wants to win a popularity contest…stop reaching. This is the first homecoming since COVID….let the alumni live. I simply see the MCP family enjoying the moment. Save the think piece or donate to the band since there’s so much concern.
@@aaliyah3782 We were the one of the first Programs that started the financing for some of these bands at a higher level [for them to receive pay at this level, as already stated by the American and International standard, see American standard for dance]. I don't want to give too much information away, as I feel many in this community cannot handle it and would retaliate on them. But of course I have compassion for your other concerns and they should be handle in a different podium than this. I can appreciate the Alumni as already stated and enjoy many of them [some do fit that standard] but don't make a joke out of those [the band members ...] when they have worked so hard and can be one of the components that can help uplift this community [It is important they are not arrogant but also not weak with finesse]. Have fun in a party or meeting after the planned event. As stated before, no offense intended. If you truly mean well, let them perform first [they get paid whether you show up or not, but enjoy yourself as this will only occur for a few years at most].
