I never made a fursuit, but wouldn’t it be important to make sure that the magnets don’t repeal each other

Absolutely. I am making my own fursuit (not a full suit, just the head, hand paws, foot paws, tail and digitigrade legs) because it's really fun even though it takes so much work, plus I'm 13 and have $10 to my name so buying one isn't a option, or a good idea idea in my opinion. I haven't made my eyelids yet and I haven't put the magnets in yet, but I did go to grade three science. If you don't make sure you put them on the right way around and they do repel each other then it would be pretty much impossible to attach the eyelids you made because the magnetic force would be "pushing" the eyelid magnets away instead of "pulling" them together. If you're magnets are the wrong way around and they don't repel each other enough to make the eyelid not stick then you probably got really weak magnets that wouldn't have been very good at holding on the eyelids.

they're neodymium rare earth magnets, they dont attract from one end and repel from another, their positive pole is their faces and the edges are their negative pole. they will always stick face to face regardless because of that.

Heyo, I’m currently trying to make a fursuit with this tutorial but still had a question after watching. Did you use different kinds or sizes of magnets for the head base and eyelids? If so, does it matter which ones they are because the link in the description takes you to quite a few different kinds of options. Ah okay, understandable but thanks anyway :3 I'm super forgetful too and I hate forgetting all the time.. ;w; I'm actually making a fursuit myself and well.. bought a head base cos I didn't know how to start it off ^-^; It looks like a fennec fox so I shall make a fennec fursuit! :D I might also create a channel for doing fun vids since I don't receive notifications here on my original channel. I disable them as I kinda worry that I'll get hate responses for commenting something hilarious/relatable on other vids.. especially ytps, memes, stuff like that... :< Sorry I talk too much! Definitely make sure the poles of each magnet match or else cdrtain parts of the eyelids/whatever you're making, will actually stand up. :/

I can't wait to get the supplies to make my own fursuit. Mine is ok, but if anyone were to see it, it would be obvious how poor quality it is. My parents tried their best but the handpaws are fingerless gloves, the feetpaws are slippers I got from Target, and the moving jaw doesn't work the way a moving jaw should move.

Never mind I just rewatched the video, I thought you didn’t put eyebrows on the head base because eyebrows are for expressions and since the eye lids are doing that I thought you didn’t need to put them on.

But you would see the velcro when the eyelids are not covering it, so I wouldn't recommend it

cwel and helpful but i made mine with velcro (before this) because i couldn't find strong magnets and the lining around the eyes are black so i used black velcro (obviously) and they work the same way as these but if i make another suit i will totally use this tutorial!!!!!!!

Yo im having a lot of issues getting my magnets to actually stick to each other once i glue them in esp since i cant get them to stick at all against each other if i have any glue on the sides facing each other, and it comes out of the foam if i just glue the back i know you put the type of magnets you use but do you have a specific brand, or link to the ones you use? this is the 2nd time ive ordered my magnets and they didn't work 😓
