TUTORIAL - A Different Look for SPECIMEN Slides - DIY Embellishments
Hi - I wanted to have a play with making some slightly different Specimen slides, using patterned papers for the frame part of the slide itself.. These are a really quick and fun project, to make some little DIY embellishments for your junk journals. Thank you for joining me, please give this video a thumbs up, Tinax

Thanks. I made these & their so pretty, those sheets are pricey so I had some plain transparent film sheet & glued them together with fabric glue - glue doesn’t show s it worked...

Very cute slides! Your looking about for things to add to embellish reminds me of myself when I'm crafting. I know I have it but where did I put it. In the end they turned out beautiful. TFS.

Adorable. I like these better for junk journals. You could try two butterfly's back to back and contact paper.

@@shabbydabbydoodah my mancave is next door to the laundry room. I do all laundry and cooking my wife fractured her skull a few years before I met her and she fell down stairs in the way to do laundry. I put my mancave downstairs so I could putter while I do laundry. She is not allowed on stairs without me. It is equitable as I get about two and a half hours at a time to work on my hobbies.

I love slides, too! I once found some simple notebooks at my local dollar store that I bought for the covers. They had the cutest bicycles on them and the plastic was clear. I made slides!! Thanks!

Thank you so much Tina, I really really love 💕 these, I’ve just brought a Frame punch board, which I’ve made some frames with it. I’m still playing with it. I really really love 💕 with the patterned paper. I’ve recently pressed some flowers and leaves 🍁 and I put them through the laminator, so you can see them from both sides. xxx Mags

Hi Tina. What a lovely idea bringing along some color for the frames. I’d like to see more of these with other specimens. Maybe a ladybug or a dragonfly also adding some string with a bell or charms. That would be a nice piece hanging in the window. Bye for now

Thanks for this you have inspired me. Have you ever tried inkjet printing on to inkjet Overhead Projector Film. Can bought bought on line and you get loads of sheets at a great price. Thanks again
