You are so underrated, sir! As a self-taught player, I am extremely thankful for your tutorial! I have been dreaming of playing this song for months, and I am just slowly learning how to read the sheet music! Thanks again, and I hope for more tutorials like this!
Thank you so much for providing this thorough tutorial of a fantastic composition of the song! Absolutely brilliant - I spent the last couple weeks getting this nailed down and it’s sounding so good ... all thanks to your excellent instruction!
What a fantastic tutorial and the effort to record it. My cousins son loves this song and i am going to hae to learn this as my electric piano can split bass and piano. He will be blown away. Great arrangement of this song , wow.
Thank you - and apologies for my slow response. I will be happy if any sections are not clear to help in any way to get your version ready for your cousin's son :)
I’m three minutes in before I even finish watching this video I want to say wow your real great breaking downs the chords and also teaching sheet music something I can vaguely understand now… but everything is amazing so far thank you
You're right. These vids by Paul are just fantastic stuff! My theory is that there are so few younger people who nowadays learn to play ANY instrument, that a vid like this has only a "niche audience", sad to say. A few decades ago, there were likely many more kids (in the US, at least) receiving at least a rudimentary basic musical education and opportunities through public schools. Also, many more households here seemed to have a piano in past decades in the house than presently.
Please provide a link to donate - reading through your sheet music it is clear that it was written by a true pianist. Tasteful voicings, good voice leading, this is the best I've found on the internet!
Mr. Paul thank you so much for the time and effort you’ve put into this tutorial I love love love it. Immediately ran to the piano when I realized how in depth and actually good this was. Just wow.
Thank you Janine. Your comment is really helpful. I have just made a new tutorial which is currently being edited and should be ready today. Tutorials are a lot of work, but worth it if they make you want to play more.
Hello Mr. Wells, i am a big fan, and i was wondering if you could make a When the Levee Breaks tutorial, or just sheet music. I’ve been really wanting to cover that song. If not, i would be perfectly fine with a top down view of the piano so i can get a better view. Anyway, thanks for all the covers and tutorials, they really are magnificent!
It s almost a forgotten song and judging by what you play here, I almost know you would like the song. I am playing piano as well, but I love how you interpret the songs and often add a punchy base line. Another song that I will cover on piano if no one does it is this very simple Kizomba song: "Criola" by Mika Mendes. Simple chords.
@@paulwwells Hello again, I am completely new to playing the keyboard - is it possible to have a note in the melody and bass chord - what you have sent is very nice but also difficult even if you follow you on RU-vid ?
I would say so. Yes. He looks to put character into his songs. He searches for new ideas which are appealing. He knows how to carefully prepare the ground for the climax of a song. He pushes for a new emotion with each song without deviating from the brand he has created.
I am fixing the problem once and for all with the Keysnake. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yaXd-6Kzmyo.htmlsi=pgV9T43Qy4RUwwPL which is an interactive song-teaching app/device.
@@davidkerr4137 Only by listening & it's obvious by watching - BUT, - their music was very rich, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if there a second piano involved.
