I honestly love and respect the fact that you pointed out the warmth spot on her hair rather than just taking the praise and pretending like her hair was 100 percent perfect. I'd be so happy if I went to a salon and got someone like you doing my hair.
She's my favorite kind of client! It is evident you love your job- the complete opposite of a lazy stylist. I just found your channel and I love your content and the time you take to educate!
1000% w every word you said. There's so many lazy stylists out there that are so quick to judge those of us who aren't. They say you take too long or your too ocd meticulous when they have no clue what they're talking about. So I say, that's exactly why they're in my chair and not your's. You can't be bothered and I can.
Can I just say that I am soooo glad I found you!! I have been doing hair for years and I have lots of blonde clients and I have struggled sooooo much with finding the right toners that don’t grab too much or sometimes turn almost greenish and your little tip of adding some warm tones (rose gold) saved me!!! I have watched countless you tubers and tutorials and I never leaned anything I didn’t already know. And honestly you just have really good little tips in all your videos that I’ve been using and I’ve been having so much more success with my blondes. And shadow roots! Please don’t ever stop making videos you are brilliant!!
Oh wow! Im literally laying on the couch sad cause after a long first week back to the salon , all I want is some damn mac n cheese but don't have any 😭😭😭 this totally cheered me up! That makes me so happy to know! Thank you so much for watching! And im glad to know you've learned some tips!
It's ultimately satisfying when you create a master piece & fulfill your client's wishes. She was obviously very happy with her results & grateful for your services. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, talent & experience to help us learn insightful details to improve our skills. Wishing all abundant Blessings!
I just want to take a minute to say what a great teacher you are. You touch on all the points that some ppl would think didn't matter like the brush your using and the board to help saturation. You have an incredible gift of teaching and that takes patience and caring. Ty!!
Awww! That is so sweet and means so much! Sometimes I wonder if people think I just repeat myself every video with the same info and worry it gets boring. I've come to the conclusion to treat every video as if it's someone's first time watching and give all the info and not assume it's already been heard. Thank you so mutch for this feedback, it really makes me feel more confident in my videos! I appreciate you!
@@hairbykristijennings6648 I agree you are so informative! Thank you from one professional to another! Have you tried the framar power painter? I feel like it would have packed on a good bit of product for this situation. Although sometimes these brushes make my hands cramp as well.
@@milfus13 thank you! Im not sure what the power painter is? Il have to look.... my hand cramps tons but the board really helps prevent that from happening
Never in a billion years would I ever think I'd sit through a dang hair color tutorial but I'm forced to color my own hair and THIS WAS SOOOOOO HELPFUL!!! THANKYOUUUUU YOU'RE SO TALENTED!
I love what you said about communicating with your client. Especially when their expectations and what it takes to get there are questionable. I found that being upfront about that even if it means you lose them as a client is best.
Exactly because they have expectations, even if you explain in detail to them, they still have an idea in their head. So at least this way you cover yourself. Cause they'll be unhappy either way
You are so good explaining detail of every little thing you did through out the processing, also how many hours spent and how much cost ! It helps to everyone including the clients to understand why we charge what we charge and educate our clients to appreciate our hard works ! I love to share your videos with my coworkers and boss , also my clients! You help me so much about how important to Communicate with our clients! ❤️ 💕
I love it-you’re a genius! That’s an amazingly beautiful transformation from where you started. You are so talented and bless you for taking your time to work out the details to come up with this hair formulation.
Omg i really love the Way you explaine everything and that you are not afraid to tell about your fear for the hair to break and Fall off. I really love your honesty about your work and OCD. We need more hairdressers Like you. ❤️ Best wishes from Jette In Denmark.
Omg. Idk how I came across your videos, but I absolutely love how informational they are! I can’t wait to use some of these techniques for my future clients. Keep the videos coming!! ❤️
This is the best and foremost educational video on bleaching and toning ect. You are thoroughly going through the hair and explaining each step and you can tell that you love doing clients hair and have respect for their hair and them. Absolutely beautiful results and you have amazing talent! 🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰
I thank God I seen this video. I've been doing hair 18 years and I've gotten a lot more picky over the years, so I take more time than I used to. My mom has made me question myself by always asking "why did that color take 4 hours? Why did that color take 6 hours? Why was your client there from 9am til 4pm??" And I'm like "bc I'm not going to rush a color!" Im like you, I do not want to damage the hair and I want to do a great job, not just a good job. I have so much respect for you. You nailed it again love! 💛💛💛
You have such an amazing client i love that she’s reassuring you that its okay if she does have breakage because she knows what she got herself into ❤❤❤ im OCD as well i completely understand
Freaking amazing job Kristi. Been a stylist for a little over 3 years now and been in a little funk with my blondes. Your videos are so easy to follow. I love how honest you are and how you make things super easy to understand. Thank you!!!
You are fabulous! I’ve been doing hair 30 years. You almost do everything exactly as I do. Except, I always struggle with which toners. Most of the time everything is ok, but I run into similar problems with the warmth too! Thank you so much for the videos! You are awesome!
I love that you go over EVERYTHING from consult to pricing to products I mean EVERYTHING! TY so much for your help! ❤️ always your fellow hairdresser Farrah
Thank you! It’s the anxiety in me! 😂😂😂 I’m afraid I’m going to forget something so I over explain to make up for it. 🤷🏼♀️ thank you so much for watching and your kind comment!
lovely result! I love how you recommend to check the work - so true - not a professional but when I bleach my daughter's roots, I know have have to go back and look for dark spots, if I don't find them, she will see them later!
Amazing results 😃, it’s such a worry for me when I bleach , 😅I constantly worry their hair is going to fall out , but u are so calm . I’m so impressed 👍🏼❤️
OMG! I went to a salon here in my town and I asked to the hairdresser to do exectly like that, and she said that it wouldn't be possible to follow the same way you did because of the length of my hair. I am male and I have short hair, about 10/12 centimeters 3,5 or 5 inches long. 😭😭 You're such a WOMDERFUL Professional. Thank you so much. I loved the result of what you done. She looks flawless. ^^
Wow! What an amazing result! I love watching your videos even though I’m not a stylist nor do I even want to get my hair done. I just love seeing the work and results.
I have had my license for 3 years now and I’ve just been working for great clips and I am stepping into a full service salon and now I am just learning you could apply bleach to damp hair! Lol I definitely limited myself but now I’m so excited to to try it out! And I never understood toner until now that’s why I’ve always been scared to do color😭
I went from a level 1 to level 9 in one try with damp bleached hair. My new technique. Before it would take me three trys. I saw this Brazilian lady do this technique and I just tried it.
This is a fantastic outcome but only possible with a one to one stylist client booking. Most hairdressers juggle several customers whilst doing a bleach or colour in a salon and never take this much care and attention. Wish all colours had such a great outcome.
Oh I wish I had found this video before I started with my process. I now know I could have left the bleach longer for a better result. Oh well we all learn. You are an amazing colorist. 🤩
Hearing you say you ask your client over and over if her scalp is okay is so amazing. When I went for a full bleach and color on virgin hair they put the bleach directly on my scalp and it burned and itched SO BAD they gave me a metal rat tail comb to itch it and I didn't know any better at the time but now I realize how stupid it was. Also I left with chemical burns and scabs all over my scalp I couldn't even enjoy my color which also turned out terrible tho lol!
I love watching all your vids. I recently found you on here and I’m so glad I did. You explain every question I’ve ever had and never got answered properly
That's because the previous stylist used permanent color for a root shadow. Her hair had grown out and it's been multiple sessions of breaking thru it to get to this point.
can you make a video going in detail as much as you can over why you add in the rose gold to the toner ? i’m a stylist as well (and have issues just like im sure everyone does with toning blondes when the “V’s” grab on to the hair strands and are more prominent). it would help me out a great deal just to know “why” :))
Good question! I explain this in the next video I'll put out I think.... I'll make a video going over toning. Just ashy tones can grab very violet/ ash etc. Adding gold helps balance and prevents over toning
Thank you Krist, that has helped me a lot, would love to watch more of your videos on toning and hair colouring, and where can I get these products you used especially for your toner.bless you for giving out your knowledge.
@@rosinaagneskuzoomunhu7320 You can buy this online or in a Salon. They do warm color, because the Client have brown hair and the hair will be green maybe.
Honestly your videos are by far the BEST! and your personality shines! No other videos have taught me what yours have! Currently still in a lockdown in the uk but back to work soon so can’t wait to incorporate some of what I’ve learned here! Star stylist ! X
@@hairbykristijennings6648 No problem at all. Always happy to support my fellow content creators. I am looking forward to improving on my own current video format I have uploaded and, in the future, trying to create content as good as yours in the long term.
You helped me so much thank you for explaining the process in detail. I really loved her hair and my roots are yellow so praying your video helps me fix them tomorrow ❤
Wwoooooowwwww that’s sooooooo gooooooohhhhhdddddhhhhh!!!! Great job!! I wish u were the one to do my hair when I had this done I wouldn’t of walked out with noodle hair… like literally wet noodle and it broke when u brushed it. And she was supposed to be my friend too is what really messed up. 😂 But that really turned out amazing honey u did awesome on her lightening 👱🏻♀️❤
This is the best video I've found on this. Wish I had found this video before ruining my hair with bleach. The back of my hair is almost white and the front is orange. Would have been nice to know to wash back out then bleach the front!
Omg that results are crazy! U did that proces so perfect in every single step 😍👏🏻 just a little curious, when a proces takes this long time, how much did you charge for it ?
Thank you so much! I’ve been bad at not charging fairly to myself and undercutting myself cause I feel bad charging someone hundreds of dollars but I need to stop that . So I now base it off of $75/ hour. I think because we don’t know how long services will be it’s hard to give an estimate. I would have never known it would take 5 hours just to apply the bleach. From now on I’ll charge hourly so this service came out to $600.
hair by Kristi Jennings okey i see. I have the same problem, but we are artists and need to charge for what the work are worth. But thats a lot of money for the client. I never think i have charged over $250kr 🙄
So good!!! 😍 Love youre videos so relateble! 😍 I would love a video where you do a consultation for a collor correction, and a talk about pricing when it takes a whole day for one client because thats a struggle for most of us stylists, asking the money whe deserve for a 9 hour collor correction 🙈😍❤️
Gorgeous!!! How did you know the roots wouldn't break off when you added more bleach to the midshafts??? Her roots already looked almost white to me.....I was so scared. Lol Just such a stunning blonde result! Wow
So amazing result. 9 hours of work. How do you charge your time. Per hour or what? Thanks for sharing your expertise. I am not a good colorist yet but doing my best learning from the best colorist in you tube.
Currently sat here with very light blonde roots and orange mid sections and ends ,trying to work it out by watching your videos. So stuck right now and panicking luckily kids are on half term right now so I have a week to sort it x
