Hi! Thank you very much for this tutorial. One thing that I am wondering for some time is how to create in Forest Pack or in combination with RailClone a fully parametric preset for balcony railing-hung planters that could be used for populating whole building facades. So it is quite different than the tutorial that you have made some time ago explaining how to create flower beds based on closed splines that deifined the borders of flower beds. In the preset that I am trying to create we have splines that define balcony railings of a building - that can also be used just to create the railings themselves with RailClone - and then with a separate RC object, or ForestPack, I would like to add a bunch of different balcony planters with different kinds of flowers/plants to the railings to create variety and visual interest. So far I have managed to do it like this - I create a RailClone with 3 types of planters for the railing to give me a base for the planters and then I convert it to EditPoly and move the planters by hand to fine tune them (I dont know how to make 3 different lenghts of planters - 80x20x20, 60x20x20, 20x20x20 not to overlap), then I detach the soil from the planters to avoid plants/flowers to go over the borders and overlap with walls of the planters. (using ForestPack with UV mode the Boundary Checking Edge mode is disabled.) Then I create the ForestPack for the plants, using quickly unwrapped soil element as the surface in UV mode, distributing several types of plants into clusters. It kind-of works but I am wondering if there is a fully parametric way to do this. Thank you!

Hi Aleksander, thanks for this request. I've added it to our tutorial list - we'll do a little testing to see if we can recommend a workflow. I think many other users would be interested too.

It's hard to say without seeing your file, it may be you are using a different version of RailClone. please feel free to drop us an email at helpdesk@itoosoft.com and we can help you further.
