I know it’s late haha, but it’s #3 yarn & a 2.75mm hook. I think they didn’t put the information so that you’d buy the online pattern to find out.

Yes, but you will have to make less rows, because you will get the size earlier with larger stitches :)

AGREE!!!!!! I think it's a 2.75mm crochet hook so I'm guessing it's a 1 or 2 weight yarn, which is to thin for me to use.

It’s pretty obvious on that size you should start and what size of yarn that goes along with the crochet size.

Depending on the size you will have to make more or less rows :)

Here are my counts, if it can help anyone. Using them I managed to produce two quite similar socks. I should disclaim and say I am new to crochet. foot: magic loop R01: [sc * 6] (6) R02: [inc * 6] (12) R03: [(sc,inc) * 6] (18) R04: [(sc,sc,inc) * 6] (24) R05-R14: [sc * 24] (24) heel: Place a marker in the middle of the back part. R01: ch, place marker inside chain, turn direction, sc to the marker (including) [sc * 6], slip stitch on the next front stitch R02: ch, place marker inside chain, turn direction, sc to the marker (including) [sc * 6], slip stitch on the next front stitch R03: ch, place marker inside chain, turn direction, sc to the marker (including) [sc * 6], slip stitch on the next front stitch R04: ch, place marker inside chain, turn direction, sc to the marker (including) [sc * 6], slip stitch on the next front stitch // Need to have an even number of rows in order to comply with direction of crochet when moving to top part // I chose 4 rows because 6 seemed too tall but up to you. top part: // I guess the counts I got are the result of my understanding of where the "next front stitch" in the heel R01: [sc * 20] (20) R02-R011: [sc * 21] (21) ~~~~~~~ many thanks for the pattern, Lanas y Ovillos ~~~~~~~

Sweetie , there are other ways to start this . I used to do the 2 double crochet and start from the first stitch good luck! You'll get it!

I used a 5,0 mm hook in the magic circle and then used a 1.25 mm hook to slip stich together and went on. It's not visible :)

I have the exact same question. i have tried to make these socks over 10 times and cannot get the heel right. Can you please explain how many stitches to the stitch marker and for the top part for the newborn size? I would appreciate it!

"crochet" means to work one stitch, such as one single crochet. To "increase," you would work one single crochet into a stitch, and then work a second single crochet into that same stitch, which will give you one increase or two stitches in that one stitch.

Hi Leah! We say single crochet and increase. Increase menas to make 2 single crochet in the same space :)

For the heel stitch marker halfway across sock Sc until you reach marker Remove marker and Sc one more time Slip stitch x1 Chain one Turn Sc to other side Repeat until it covers half your sock opening (hope that makes sense) and you are making a row going towards the left Sc around and around until you have the top part of your sock! (4CM) Make an edge by reverse Sc or crab stitch Slip stitch and done!

" single crochet, 1 increase means: 1, single crochet, 1 single crochet on the next stitch, and on the third, 1 increase :)

Sorry I'm super new to crochet but loved your vid and want to make a pair for my friend's baby, so if you don't mind me asking some dumb questions: 1.Does "single crochet, 1 increase" mean after 1 single crochet, the next one I'd do twice through the same hole/spot? And that'd make 3 stitches in total? 2.On the 3rd row, you said it'd be 18 stitches in total that meant doing "single stitch+1 increase" for 6 times, right? Thank you so much
