Did you do an activator coat for your base pink color before doing the glitter layer?

I am barely starting to learn about dip powder nails. Do you recommend any started kit you think is great? I have looked into Revel nails, Quick, Deepwell, Lavender violets. I am confused 😓

I believe I am using the same brush but the glitter won’t go on as good as yours is. I’ve tried it 2x with 2 different glitter but no go.
