I saw this and decided to do away with my plug ins that cost 200.00 and bring out the marcel irons again! We have got to get back to this! Back in the day this was the only way to do black hair until the mid 90s. I used to go the extra mile at home I would turn on the kitchen stove and that was the best press & curl on the face of the earth. It would last forever. Pressed you so good you thought you were Indian!

Nice job. I love marcel curls. Not to many stylist use them anymore it seems. I would have liked to see her shaped up in the nape for a more refined look to a beautiful style.

❤️ this video. I’m in cosmetology school now and have started working with the Marcels. I love the way it seems to hold curls longer than flat iron curls. What is your thoughts on Marcels vs. flat irons for curls? And would you use Marcels on finer textures?
