broo the 1 thing i needed from this video was the hat sauce

skimmed a bit of it (will watch it in it's entirety l8ter) but you pretty much pinned down a lot of the concepts they play with in a lot of their tracks. Would say like the melody a lot of percussive elements are used as motif rather than for rhythm, like the hihats in cathedral (that randomness you're talking about) I think that's my fav pt of their music because I've grown up in the music scene in the 313 specifically listening to a lot techno & my brain works in like strict rhythmic systems, never understood how to create randomness or have like call/responses & other ideas where an instrument isn't completely additive to the beat but just existing popping in and out.

using the low cut in reverb wont cause the lower frequencies to reverberate. otherwise w the eq it still gon sound muddy, just wont have the muddy ass bass lmaooo. always eq after tho
