Email setup settings + troubleshooting steps (you’ll learn what to do with these settings within the video)
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Make sure you use your GMAIL username and password for the “Configure your mail to be sent through {yourdomain} SMTP servers” setting. Using any other username or password within this section will NOT work.
Run into trouble? If you get an error when trying to enter your username + password on the second step, Try these fixes:
1. Enable Less Secure Apps: myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps
2. Click “Continue” on accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
Then try adding the domain again in your Gmail settings.
These settings above fix the “Authentication Failed. Please check your username/password and Less Secure Apps access” and “Server returned error: “534-5.7.14” errors. If you are getting another error not outlined here or within the video, please leave a comment below with the error message you are receiving. Also make sure that you are entering your correct Gmail username and password. NOT your Namecheap username and password.
