@@w204nick LMAO it's not NA car. It's turbocharged. Look it up. It's a 1.8 litre engine turbocharged, or to make things more obvious, cant you hear the turbo's spooling up at the end of the video ?
That’s not launch control. Lauch control would actually hold the rpm’s for you. Also the “hold” function is so you can let go of the brake pedal when stopped at a red light or traffic jam and don’t want to hold your foot on the brake pedal the whole time. It will turn off as soon as you press the accelerator pedal. Lol
That is not lauch control. You still haven't turned traction control all the way off. Plus if the launch control is active it should say "Race Start" on the guage cluster screen
There's no launch control in non AMG's. Certainly not 204's. Oddly enough, I have noticed anytime I use HOLD feature at a red light in my E coupe, as soon as I apply throttle to go again, there is FAR more torque than if I had simply not used HOLD & held the brake pedal like normal. Not sure why, still haven't truly looked into what HOLD really does (electronically tells the trans it's in park?) Others have mentioned brake boosting, but I understand you have the N/A 3.5L M276. The turbocharged M276's are not in 2014 w204 C350's. Likely all you're doing is getting rpm's to the sweet spot of max torque, which is around 2,500ish & you're feeling that from a standstill. Still feels good, but not launch control.
dont you have to restart the car whenever you switch from comfort to sports mode? i read in the manual that for the change in driving modes to occur, the engine needs to be restarted. it might just be that its only in older w204s tho (09)
@xandyalc I have a 2013 W204 C250 and there is no need to restart the engine. It switches instantly between econ/sport modes. Unfortunately, if you leave it in 'S' mode, the transmission (7-speed) will hold in 6th gear. To select 7th you need to put it back in 'E'.
Why yall hatting on this dude so much? I hope yall make a video. These are great cars overall though. If they had of put manual on these and added about a half a liter these things would have been something to tangle with.
Pmsl.... Launch control? Clearly, you know f-all about Mercedes and have never been in a vehicle with actual launch control, like a C63. The 'hold' function has nothing to do with launching anything! It is simply a safety feature that allows you to take your foot off the brake pedal and will prevent the vehicle rolling. It is deactivated once you touch the accelerator pedal.
@@w204nick seems that you don't know your car. This rear bumper is not completely original because you don't have those big diffusers (ridiculous IMO) in stock version, neither 4 pipes (only c 43 c63). By the way, these 4 pipes are not well set up, probably because of aftermarket. Even the c63s, edition 507 don't have such diffuser. Only the Black series have a different bumper. you're welcome.
