How do you install mods in Jurassic World Evolution for both Steam and epic games? I show you how you get the Jurassic World Evolution mods from Nexus into your copy of the game. I also show how to inject files, so you can use two mods that alter the same file at the same time, like combining the enhanced terrain tools with the enhanced mixed era's.
Someone uploaded the two mods already injected on Nexus, so just use that: www.nexusmods.com/jurassicwor...

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:
1. The Enhanced Terrain Tools mod is by Harlequinz Eg0. I got it mixed up, I'm so so sorry! All credit for this mod goes to Harlequinz Eg0 and I'll be careful not to get mods mixed up in the future, because they deserve proper credit for their work.
2. Can't open the ovl tool? You probably didn't UNZIP the source code folder that contains the ovl_tool_gui. Zo UNZIP and it will probably work. That's the case for 99% of people who comment "this doesn't work".
3. Something still doesn't work? You either didn't do all of the other steps properly (so try again) OR you are running into an issue that is specific for YOUR PC. I am not an IT technician, I can't look into your PC, I didn't see what you did. So: I can't troubleshoot that for you. Try again. Or ask the modder on Nexus for advice.

Definitely helpful. Still don't have my PC updated to play yet, but this is pretty good. I've done mods in different games, and definitely familiar with a lot of aspects. However the main game I'd mod was Star Wars Empire at War, which is 90% XML files, and don't require a special program to open or change those files. Modifying the models and some other unique files required special tools. But overall much more simple to mod than JWE.

Sure feels that way. I've actually heard that from a lot of people. Even games I didn't have the tools to mod, I could still see all the different files at a pretty intimate level, with intentions of moding in the future. Something you don't really see with JWE. I already have a big idea with modding the vivid skin in the game. I feel the vivid skin is definitely not as vivid as it should be. Followed by changes to the Taiga pattern for the Parasaurolophus. Taiga for other Hadrosaurs look very beautiful. The poor Para I feel got an underwhelming Taiga pattern. We'll when I get a chance to make those mods.

Hmm this will be really helpful for the people that don't know how to work around the cobra tools, I'd love to see you make a tutorial on how to inject custom audio mods since i have been budding my head againts that for months, Either the dino makes no sound at all, Or it makes the vanilla sounds. so trying to follow the instructions, but then a question did come to mind: what about those "New Species" mods? Those that don't replace any dinosaurs? Do you create a new folder for those or do you just slap them into the proper section and go from there?

This video is SO helpful and your channel is amazing -- so many great ideas for park builds and dino habitats :) I'm having some trouble opening the ovl tool from the downloaded source code folder. I've followed all of your steps up until then (I think!) but my computer says it doesn't have an app that can open it. Any suggestions?

When I couldn’t download the enhanced terrain tools I was sad (sad pika noises) but randomly one day I decided to install mixed era’s mod and guess what I got the enhanced terrain tools so for every pc player if u want enhanced terrain tools u at least need the GUI tool and the enhanced mixed era’s mod in order to get enhanced terrain tools also thx so much ego square u changed the way I play Me when I download my first mod: I’m going to do what’s called a pro gamer move

I have a question tho with using the modded ovl file with terrain tools and mixed era. When I overwrite the OG main.ovl with the modded one, I'm not able to build gyrosphere or viewing galleries in JW era campaigns anymore. Did I do something wrong or is it supposed to be like that?

So I injected the tools into the main olv file buuuut in the ovl editor at the bottom its at 100% and says injection completed but in the other window it doesn't say done. It says injecting editors.terrain.terrainditmode.lua Injecting ui.controllers.toolspanel.gui.lua. So is it done?

Awesome video!!! So recently I made the 6 islands, I kinda wanted to base them on the game a little but also base them on the movies, for example for isla Sorna I decided to make it a savanna with pine trees and put dinosaurs from the lost world on there, and other random dinos as well :) for isla Nublar tho I just did whatever :)

I really love the "Tyrannosaurus Rex STAN" mod by UNSC200 (Great name btw) so if you want more scientifically accurate dinosaurs with high quality textures go for that mod for the rex.

erm can someone help me , i place a moded skin on my velociraptor (my jwe is from steamunlocked) , then i went to incubate it to review the skin, but when i press the release button , the game CRUSH somehow, why????????????
