Hello, dear professor, I remember this element in medicine, because I underwent an osteotomy of the left femur in 1990 (The femur is cut in half to the length that represents the 82 mm, then repositioned and insert the short length of the clip at the base of the femur at the level of the knee and the large part is fixed along the second part of the femur going up to the hip inserting all the screws. The surgeon had taken the angle of degradation with a large protractor, the length of the legs and my total height to make these calculations with a lot of x-rays. I kept it for 18 months followed by the removal in 1991 as recommended by the surgeon. I don't know if it's stainless steel or titanium, but its weight was higher than its dimensions might suggest.
